Vino Colorado Winery is a locally owned and operated tasting room in the heart of Old Colorado City. The owners switched gears from working in Real Estate and building homes to owning a small business with the storefront, The Sweet Elephant. Open since 2014, we have created unique wine blends and labels, going on to win multiple awards.
We have now expanded to over 30 varietals different wines, ranging from moderate to dry reds, smooth and sweet whites, local Colorado fruit wines & multiple dessert wines. We can accommodate any wine connoisseur or a beginner looking to learn more about their pallet. In-store we offer more than just wine tasting, we have coffee and specialty drinks, fresh locally made pastries, and a full-service food menu that compliments our wine perfectly.

Services
The Grotto is a private space that can accommodate up to 50 people for any kind of event, a beautiful Tuscan inspired indoor space full of charm perfect for any gathering. Specialty menus can be created for any event, and wine club members pay no room fee. We provide pricing and details according to the number of people and what you would like provided at the event.

ANOTHER fun, good food, and vino game night at the Sweet Elephant Colorado Springs. Bingo, Trivia and enjoyable company‼️‼️ It was mentioned they will start up additional pairings along with their wonderful assortment of deserts, light meals, and charcuterie boards. Additionally, there are painting parties and a HUGE location opening in Fountain soon 🤯 Bravo 👏🎉♥️

Bad service, employees acted like they didn’t want to be there or service tables. Had to go ask for someone to take our order. Had to take the bill up at the end to have someone ring us out. For $18.95, the Charcuterie board was NOT impressive. Came on a paper plate with plastic ware and the quantity was not much. Had to ask twice for waters. Will not be back or recommend. Went over to Pizzeria Rustica and it was SO MUCH BETTER.

The sweet elephant was a last minute decision and we couldn’t be happier!! Justin was amazing and knowledgeable about all of the wine available. He gave us wonderful recommendations. Service was 10/10 ++ Justin was very personable.
I highly recommend taking time to visit and taste the delicious wines The Sweet Elephant has to offer.... will 100% be back!
