We are about 45 miles from the canyon rim and about the same distance to the nearest towns-Fredonia, AZ and Kanab, UT-in northwest Arizona near the AZ-UT stateline border. The campground is at an elevation of 8,000 feet which can cause difficulties for those with respiratory or heart problems.

Great Campground with super nice hosts.
Caters primarily to RVs but has some very nice areas for tent campers with good facilities (fire rings, benches & tables, Toilets, showers).
I really enjoyed my stay in the beautiful scenery.
No problems with cell service (AT&T) in the tent camp area I stayed at.

Great spot about hour from north rim of GC..we did tent camping for $20, got a spot at back corner of campground, in the trees and backing against the next door fenced meadow. Very friendly staff. My son commented on the port-a-potties being the cleanest he’d ever seen.
Camp spots are perhaps a little close together, if there were two other parties in the area we were at (our area was designated as 3 separate sites) might have been a little crowded. Also you can literally camp for free in the National Forest across the street from the campground. However the cleanliness of the campground and

My wife and I stayed here for three nights in our Sienna camper van while we visited the North Rim. We found the ladies working the office to be very friendly and made you feel welcome. They explained the campground, showers, laundromat, porta-potties and the one flush toilet available in a building behind the laundry building.
Make sure you have a couple of dishpans for washing dishes at your camp site as you are not allowed to wash dishes at the sinks provided near the porta-potties.

Perfect spot for exploring the north rim of the Grand Canyon! Pretty bare bones campground, but we enjoyed the night we stayed. We stopped here last minute and glad we did. Friendly, helpful staff. Spots are a little tight, and bathrooms are basically upgraded porta potties. Showers cost $2.50 for 5 minutes. About 30 minutes to the north rim entrance, it’s a beautiful drive too.

The park is great and clean and peaceful. The folks that manage it are amazing but it got minus tow stars because we do not use the shower or toilet in our camper because the sewage is gross in a small camper and they had ports potty’s that were clean but still stunk and were not nice to use for 3 days. Also they had coin operated showers 5 min shower.

If you enjoy a more rustic camping experience without going completely all-out, this place might be for you.
But there aren't any real bathrooms, just four porta potties with outdoor sinks; the showers cost $2.25 for only 5 minutes; and there is next to no light at all at nighttime, including at the toilets.
Is this an unfair review? Maybe. But from someone who likes four walls around the sink, a hot shower that doesn't break the bank, and the ability to see where I'm peeing, I think this is accurate.

A cute little quiet campground in the middle of the national forest near Grand Canyon! We had an electrical site only but there was a dumping station on the way out which worked perfectly.
You’re not allowed to fill your water tanks before you leave due to the water shortage from the fires last year, extremely understandable of this!
