We are proud to provide a state-of-the-art facility for the highest quality veterinary care available. We are confident that you will feel right at home in our office as we welcome all patients as if they were family. It is recommended that all puppies undergo training or behavior counseling, especially for first time dog owners. We can assist you in the training process for your puppy. Puppies are not the only ones who need training, however. Many adult dogs need to undergo behavior counseling as well. They may have developed some bad habits like begging for food at the table or jumping up on guests.
Excited for your big vacation but don't know who is going to care for your dog or cat while you're gone? No need to worry, we are happy to watch your dog or cat while you are away. We offer quality boarding services and take good care of your pet. Your pet is provided with an ample living space, but they are not cooped up for all of their time here.
Oral health is an important factor in your pet's overall wellbeing. We perform routine check-ups on your pet's teeth and gums, and we also recommend full cleanings once a year. This allows us to closely examine your pet's mouth, check for lesions or abnormalities, remove tartar and plaque, and polish their teeth.
In the event of an emergency, when possible, a phone call ahead is very helpful. This allows our staff to prepare for your arrival and enables us to provide prompt medical attention. Our philosophy is "we are there when your pet needs care". Our hours are displayed in the about us section. In the event you have an afterhours emergency we recommend Veterinary Specialty Services (VSS).

I've known a lot of vets who will give NO advice for anything without making an appointment. I called for my dog who ate some chocolate Almonds and they talked and gave me advice on what to watch for and stated due to the small amount he ate and his size he should be ok. They are always kind and helpful at every appointment and in general! Highly recommend!

Wow. What a great experience! I am new to the area and was weary about finding an animal hospital for my 17 year-old pup. He has been having arthritis issues and has been on the cranky side because of it. I was cautious to say the least. Dr. Sullivan and his friendly team eased all my worries. They went above and beyond to make me at ease, and were very thorough with explaining what they prescribed and why. I will be continuously taking my dog, and any future animals I have here. I have never written a review, but this place deserves a fantastic shout-out for caring so much about our most loved

Dr. Sullivan is a wonderful veterinarian! I started seeing Dr. Sullivan when he took over the practice from Dr. King at First Capitol Animal Hospital. Dr. Sullivan is kind, caring, and most importantly very knowledgeable on the cats and dog I have brought in. He is gentle and soothing with the animals. He takes the time to explain everything to you and ensure you have what you need to best care for you pet. You don’t feel rushed out the door with Dr. Sullivan. He is also honest, if he hasn’t seen something before, he will research and find the best course of action to take.

Dr. Sullivan and his staff are wholeheartedly compassionate and extremely knowledgeable and it very much shines through with every encounter that I have had with them. I have my own feline foundation and see Dr. Sullivan and his staff often to aid in all of their care. Dr. Sullivan makes it known that he truly cares about you and your companion animals and that you are not just a "number" with an appointment and pocket book. Dr. Sullivan is very thorough with exams and if your pet comes in with an unknown illness and he doesn't have an answer for you right then and there, he is honest about it
