First Imperial Credit Union was the first credit union established in the Imperial Valley, and we have been serving members now for more than 75 years.

A direct deposit is defined as a member's salary or wages, Social Security, pension, or other regular fixed income electronically deposited through the Automated Clearing House (ACH) network by an employer or an outside agency.

I dislike this El Centro branch. I applied for a fast cash loan on Thursday. Called the branch on Friday to be told I had to wait 24 to 48 hours before someone calls me. So on Monday I call about 1 pm to check the status of this loan please keep in mind my loan was placed at 10:46 am (online) once again I was told 24-48 hours. So, I told the receptionist that it had been over 48 hours. She then tells me someone will differently call me back before end of business day today. Of course no call back so I call at 4:30 to be told that no one was answering in the loan department. O' and apparently you

The ATMs never work sometimes you start a transaction on one and it will Take your money say It can’t read your bills And keep the money instead of dispensing it back out and it won’t even reflect on your account and then you have to Wait days for them to POSSIBLY return that money to you. Also for some reason I’m never able to use my debit card for Apple Pay or for automatic payments. Horrible banking.

Worst customer service ever. I never get a call back when I leave a voicemail. Whoever handles customer affairs needs to be let go ASAP. It looks like sun community is the bank that will handle all my affairs from now on. thanks for nothing.

We have been trying to call for both making a car payment as well as calling for online banking customer service. It took us hours (calling at different times) to get ahold of someone to help. When we asked what was the best time to talk to someone, the representative told us just to try until we got lucky. It's understandable that they are short staffed but there is no reason to be rude to their customers.

Customer service over the phone is non-existent. 9/10 they don't answer and when they do its a long hold time. They need a dedicated rep for phones. Since all branches numbers were removed online, this is now more important than ever. Fix your phones. I don't wanna hear an apology.

I have had an account here since I was 4 years old and I am way past 65. I have never had a bad experience with them. It would be helpful if the website had a list of extensions for the services offered as it's hard to enter an extension if we don't know what it is. That would necessitate previous contact with the person to whom you need to speak and that is not always the case. I will never switch banks unless I move out of El Centro.

This credit union gave me a savings account that I have had for many years now. They allowed me to keep it with only a $5.00 balance in it for years. There was a time when I did not have an extra dollar to save, and this account was my only means of cashing my occasional check. They helped me through the worst financial period of my life. Great people work here. Give them a try, you will not be disappointed.

This place has always had excellent customer service. I went about a month ago, but it was closed (by appointment only) due to COV-19. The lady that worked there asked me if I had an appointment, I told her no but I needed to do some deposits with privacy, so she let me in to handle my work. She is awesome, I recommend this place over Wells Fargo. The customer service is great

In January I solicited a skip payment, and 3 weeks ago a saw in my credit report that I have a 6 months with a missing payment in this bank. Apparently they never made that skip payment, I call them but nothing, this was in FICU in Imperial, Ca.
