Jonette found fascination in make-up at an early age, growing up in a household where her mother and grandmother do make-up everyday. Over the years, this has developed as her inner passion. After moving to Boston, Massachusetts, Jonette yearned to further inhance her skills in makeup application. Therefore, she attended Make-up Designory in New York, completing the Fashion Makeup Artistry Program.

Jonette is amazing!! I reached out to her the evening before I needed bridal makeup done for my small wedding ceremony last month. She was so kind and prompt to respond and was flexible to accommodate my rushed schedule. Not only was she friendly and easy to talk to, but also the end result was beautiful even though we were working on a really tight schedule. I absolutely loved the look. I’m so lucky that I found Jonette. We are still in contact and she gives me skincare product tips and sale alerts. I highly recommend Jonette!

Jonette was absolutely fantastic to work with! She accommodated my schedule even with last minute time constraints and gave me a perfect look! I had a complete fame make up evening look with eyelash extensions.
Communication was always so clear and concise! she answered all my questions and always responded super quickly to my requests.
I've always had a hard time finding make up artists with experience doing make up for darker skinned folks and she was an absolute gem of a find! I'm definitely using her services again!

Jonette Joy is true to her name, she is a real JOY to work with! I had a client come in for a headshot and I needed someone for hair and makeup. She totally listened to exactly what the client and I wanted. The job she did was phenomenal and she even stayed for the duration of the shoot in case anything needed to touchups. In addition to her talent as a makeup artist, she also came on time and is sweet and kind. I will recommend her to all my headshot clients in the future.

I was struggling with a really bad sunburn and peeling situation, and Jonette made my face look like if nothing had happened! She really listened to my requests - I personally go for a more natural look and I am not used to wearing a lot of makeup. She tried to make it so my skin and style looked as natural as possible, which I really appreciated! I was impressed with her work, professionalism. Additionally, I was on a tight schedule and she was really mindful about the time. I would 100% recommend and will totally go again if I need my makeup done again!

This was such a last minute booking for me because I couldn't find a place that wasn't already booked. Joy was really quick with her reply and was very accommodating. Once I finally met her in person she was welcoming. I thought I was just going to sit in silence for an hour but that wasn't the case. We had a great conversation and the time just flew by on top of that she made me look amazing for the ball I was attending. Definitely recommend her and I myself will be calling her for future events!

Jonette was just amazing to my family and especially my daughter. She knew how important it was for my daughter to be the shining star on her Quinceañera, in which she achieved it! We emailed and shared some inspirational photos of what she was going to look for her special day.

This review has been long overdue and I'm sorry for not writing this review earlier because she deserves all 5 stars. I would recommend Jonette to any bride or anyone who just wants to look and feel special for any occasion.
My wedding was last May 2018 and she did an amazing job with me and my bridal party's makeup with her assistant Erik. Jonette is a true makeup artist .. she was able to accommodate my schedule and be incredibly graceful about it !!
This was my first time doing my make up with her . She knows what she was doing and was open to my feedback and what I wanted, e.g I asked for an evening look but not super Smokey eye or too dark because of my smaller slanted eyes . She also made my very thin lips look Wow but not like too-much-Botox wow ! I couldn’t believe her magic !
I am in my late 40’s and I have very sensitive rosacea- prone and dry skin and she was on it like a pro with mist sprays and proper foundations
