Services
Additionally, we opened our second branch location in Ridgecrest in 1999 on Balsam Street. This allowed us to serve many of our current members and open our doors to many new ones. In 2007, we built our main branch location in the Ridgecrest Business Park. Our facility supports community groups, events, and of course serving our members.
As a member of Desert Valleys, you will take advantage of one of the most unique financial opportunities of a lifetime. You will become an owner of the place you do your banking! Desert Valleys is owned by its members and there are no "outside" stockholders. All of the funds utilized to support the credit union come from our community.
Desert Valleys is proud of our ALVA (Artists Living in the Valley Area) program which features a local artist each year. The program, which further reflects the credit union's mission of community growth and involvement, is fairly simple in its function. The program allocates a $1,000 purchase of art from a local artist each year for display in our Community Resource Center.
If you would like to be considered for appointment to the Board of Directors or Supervisory Committee, please send a resume and cover letter stating your interest to the credit union's mailing address or via email at info@desertvalleys.org. Positions may not always be available, but your interest and information will be kept on file for possible openings.
To take our community outreach and financial education efforts to the next level, we launched a 501(c)(3) corporation the Desert Valleys Employees Foundation. It provides the ability for credit union employees and volunteers to raise money and broaden assistance to local community organizations.

The Foundation's goal is to provide financial support to organizations which improve the quality of our member's lives and seek to improve the financial literacy of children and adults within our community. To raise funds, the Foundation relies on the financial support of the employees and volunteers of DVFCU.

I have been a member of this credit union since 1990. and I try to cash a check from my inaurance company so I can replace my vehical but they sed that I haven't been with them long enough for them to trust me so even with the letter contact info from my insurance co they still put a min 5 day hold on cashing my check and I missed out on a used vehical I really wanted. they really made me feel dirty and discriminated against for no reason and like I sed I've been a member since 1990 when they were located in trona and mrs. Simons was the person who hopes our new acounts and approved our loans

I am not sure where we would be without desert valley Federal credit union. They are reason I got to buy my truck, after the earthquake they helped us put a roof on our home, windows back in the walls, and to actually build back our walls. They know us when we walk through the door. I am truly grateful for the people here. I would not go elsewhere.

I have been using this credit union for a few years now and compared to the many other banks and and credit unions I have been with in the past, my experience here has been significantly more pleasant. The associates are friendly, patient and helpful. The rates are all agreeable and your accounts security is clearly well looked after. The only downside is that their tech seems to still be developing. Even then, I make instant transfers frequently and never experience a delay in the availability of my funds. I live up north but refuse to get a new bank because of how well I am treated here.

Beware! Total scam, they advise you to put $25 into a account for "drawings for money ", yet if you try to close that account you will not get the money back. Have another account with them, called about a loan, was told by the so called loan man he would call back in a hour. I had to call him back four times and he never returned my calls. It wasn't until I told whom answered the call the situation. What a joke. Horrible service. Don't waste your money on this place.

Had my FIRST bad experience with Desert Valleys. We had fraud issues 3 months ago while on vacation. They called us and told us that it would take about 3 months to confirm the fraudulent charges and proper procedures were being taken to get our money back. It has been awhile since we heard back so we called and was told that no paperwork was filed by the lady we spoke with and it is now too late to get our money back.
Whats the hell?! "So you're telling me that because the lady we spoke with doesnt know how to do her damn job WE dont get our money back? I am absolutey furious. Yes we

It seems a bit odd to review a credit union, but Desert Valleys deserves it. I've been banking here for 2 1/2 years and couldn't be happier.

First, the tellers are friendly! This is a big deal to me. You're greeted by anyone passing by that works there and they genuinely seem to enjoy their jobs. When there is a line, it isn't long typically and the tellers acknowledge that you are waiting. I FULLY APPRECIATE that the tellers talk TO ME while I'm at their window. Nothing frustrates me more than having the person handling my money talk to another worker and ignore
