Iowa Home Care is a Medicare/Medicaid certified agency that offers home health care in Des Moines, Marshalltown, Pella, Ottumwa, Boone, Fort Dodge and surrounding areas. Our primary goal is to provide quality and cost effective home health care to our community while keeping our clients out of hospitals and institutions.

I believe in the power of home. I believe people can be healthiest and happiest in their own homes. I know my clients and their families feel this way; and you may think so too because you're visiting our Iowa Home Care website. I also know that sometimes people need a helping hand to stay in their homes.
When you choose a home health care provider you're not just looking for excellent medical care, you also want security and peace of mind for yourself or your loved one. At Iowa Home Care, we only have one purpose: to provide loving nursing, therapy and personal care services in the home. Home health care is all we do, and we do it very well.
At Iowa Home Care we make all of our decisions based on our Mission, Vision, and Values. These were not created as part of a marketing exercise, only to be filed away and collect dust. We revisit our beliefs daily and plan and provide care based on them. This is the only way to make sure we're doing what's best for our clients.
This diagram shows how we view the priority of each part of Iowa Home Care. The client, of course, is central in importance and the largest circle. Our Home Health Aides, who have the most contact with our clients, are the next circle. As each part of our team is further from the client, their circle shrinks in size and impact.
It doesn't matter if your home is a house, an apartment, in senior living, or an assisted living home; your home is your place of independence and well-being. Sometimes you or a loved one needs extra help to remain in the home, or to return to home after an accident, illness or surgery. We want what you want: to be able to enjoy the comforts of home, and avoid the hospital or institution.

I am so grateful I found Iowa Home Care. I have been working here for almost a year and I have grown so much as a person. I am so humbled that I get to come here to work every day knowing I am helping others in need. For over two years I've enjoyed working at Iowa Home Care. The company always continues to strive in giving the best care for the clients and employees. During these tough pandemic times, the agency has done it's best to take care of our very vulnerable community as well as provide a safe and successful working environment for staff. Home health care is a challenging field, but always a rewarding one. Our clients truly need and appreciate all the help they get from nurses, aides, social workers, and other staff. I have enjoyed working here and looking forward to many more years here.

I've worked for Iowa Home Care for 6 years. I love my job not only do I work in the office but on my own time I have picked up a client that I see 7 days a week. You would never understand what it takes to work in home care unless YOU'VE worked in home care. Client's need us so they are able to stay in their own homes as long as possible and we provide this security for them. I plan to be here for so many years to come to watch dreams unfold. Wouldn't want to be anywhere else. I'm already in a loving work/home.

Overworked, and I don't care for the owner who responds telling people if you don't fill out the 2 weeks you abandoned clients and it's our fault . I left without filling out a 2 weeks cause they wanted me to continue working 12 day stretches with 4 days off a month. When on call, it's 26 days in a row. And no, they refused to give me a week day off till I threatened to leave my job. Bosses there are a joke. Direct deposit never worked for me whenever I turned in all the things they asked for. Place is sketchy and all clients I had, said that the company doesn't care for the worker either. Pay

Mr. Frederick hired me to work as a part time Home Health nurse but he said that I had to quit my other home care nurse job from another company or it would be a conflict of interest. So I quit the other job and started training with Iowa Home Care then they said they did not have enough clients to give me a full time job. So then I was unemployed.
I remember Rachel Edge. She works there.

I have been at Iowa Home Care for 14 years, It's like home and they are my family. There is good and bad all over but we are the best of the best. We care for client's that other companies close the door on. Some people are very hard to please and you can't please everyone but we try.
Don't judge use by what you may hear negative, judge use by the client that are able to stay in there home and live there life. I wouldn't work any place else.

Excellent employer as well as home health care provider. Wide array of service options and accepts Medicare, Medicaid, state funding/waivers, and many other major medical insurance options. Provides care in 36 counties in Iowa and offers excellent growth opportunities and benefits to their employees. My first choice for home care in the state of Iowa.
