No longer a fan.
Our family camped in the park prior to it becoming a Jellystone Park. Once it became a Jellystone it definitely switched gears to appeal more to weekend guests than seasonals, but it was still fun, clean and friendly and worked for my young family.
Until it didn't.
In May 2021 Great Escapes Rv and Resorts LLC purchased the park. Since the change in ownership everything about the park has gone downhill. The first thing you'll notice when you pull into the park now will be all the bright beautiful attractions. However, if you look a bit deeper you'll notice the lack of seasonals

This was the first place we had ever taken a camping vacation and the staff at this place did not disappoint. My kids were spoiled here. The staff went out of their way to make sure we had a great time.
I had a couple small issues with my camper and staff were right there to assist and to get things back rolling. Being new to owning the camper, I was grateful for their knowhow.
A place we will for sure come back to visit!

This place is a NIGHTMARE it is nothing like the Jellystone in Columbus which is lovely. Let’s see the list is so long I wouldn’t know where to start. I could start with the complete lack of communication and knowledge of the employees. The employee I spoke to on the phone could not tell me our cabin number. She did tell me sheets and towels would be provided as I inquired as I would bring my own if not available. Once arriving in the the early evening cabin wasn’t even close to being ready. I waited almost 2 hours then was told no sheets or towels would be provided though I did not pack

The picnic table had a half rotten board on the top and the bathhouse septic leaked which ran into the road and where you had to walk. Took my dogs to the dog park which was not clean because other people did not clean up after their dogs. We enjoyed being with our family and friends.

I took three of my boys (9,3 &1) and stayed in the Cindy Bear cabin for 2 night recently. The cabin was nice. It was set up like a camper. It had a full/queen bed in one room, camper like bathroom with shower, two room with camper bunks and a small kitchenette area with fridge, stove microwave and sink. They have a fire pit out front and provide a camping grill pad for the pit also. Everything is included in your stay, even the paddle boats and kayaks. My kids enjoyed candy bar bingo and tie dying shirts. The jump pad was also a huge for them. There wasn't much my 3 yr old couldn't do! Highly recommend

This is probably a great campground for RV’ers, particularly those who lease a spot year-round. For tent campers, much was to be desired.
The good:
Kayaking is free!
Campground is peaceful.
Campground is well-maintained.
Staff was mostly friendly.
The not-so-good:
The “lake” is just an elongated pond. Therefore, kayaking is pretty limited.
Even adults swimming in the pond are required to wear life vests. I understand that reduces liability for the campground, but who the heck wants to wear a life jacket while swimming?
This park is designed with tent campers as an after-thought.

Great family place. This was our second visit and both times we stayed with a small group in the overflow up top. Lovely. Lots of room for the kids to play and roam. On the main campground there are tons of activities for the kids. Campground is always clean and well maintained. Staff is always great.

Went here 4 times in 2020. Was a great time each time. Staff is great. Lots for the kids to do, both free and extra money. Definitely going back several times next year. In a year full of craziness this campground made everything normal again.
