I had Handyman in DMV come to my house to fix a deck issue and 2 gutters. They came prompty and completed the project $200 under the estimate, which was a great surprise. Arrived on time and completed the work early. Explained everything, very polite, good quality work. No complaints at all! Will be using them again in the future.

I called them based on their stellar reviews. They seemed really professional when they came out for an estimate to paint and install a new storm door. But when it came time to do the job, a different person than the estimator came and he had no idea what he was doing. A 3.5 -4 hour job ended up taking 7. He got paint on the ceiling and didn’t patch all the marks we asked him to. He couldn’t get the door handle on so we didn’t have a functioning door. He also installed the handle backwards so we have to lift it up to open. There’s space between the bottom of the door and the house so air

Unfortunately, I had a bad experience with this contractor. I found them to be very unprofessional and their customer service to be poor. The business appears to be operating out of someone's home and they did not provide the type of customer service that you'd expect from a real corporate business. I contacted them for an estimate, and while they responded quickly, scheduling the date for an in-person visit required a lot of back and forth. Their phone line has something wrong with it; half the time the phone call doesn't go through. You have to keep calling to get the phone

We worked with William Lopez and his team on two separate projects: fixing the fallen shingles on our roof due to wind damage and installing gutter guards, as well as the replacement of the front entrance and garage doors in our home. Both times William responded to our inquiries within a couple of hours, came out quickly to evaluate the jobs, and provided us with fair and detailed estimates. Search no more for a reputable handyman! This company provides excellent prompt courteous service and quality innovative work. I needed someone to first repair two holes in the drywall ceiling (kitchen and living room), due to long ago plumbing work.The second task I needed done was to repair/replace gaps in our roof's cedar shakes (squirrels or birds were trying to get inside. The third task was to inspect our sole gutter for proper operation.
RESULTS: No visible trace that the holes were ever there (the technician Gilbert used custom color-matched paint). The shakes were nailed together

I was a bit skeptical about raving Yelp reviews of this business but yes, they are that good. Bill ( William) was responsive to the estimates reQuest, asked thank you Igor questions before accepting the job (my house is in the historic district). His crew arrived on time, worked two full days onn my kitchen ( tricky electrical connection of a new stooge hood, building a duct and a buckhead to cover it, hardwire a new dishwasher and moving electrical outlets. Great knowledgeable crew ( gave me gOod ideas to alter my initial design for the buckhead ) that did a good job, exactLy as I wanted

William, Bob, and Miguel were great! We had several projects my wife and I needed done around the home of various sizes including caulking our bathroom shower, hanging a large TV with sound bar, and hiding the wires inside the wall, as well as painting our Master bedroom walls, ceiling, and trim. The estimate turned out to be a little higher than we thought but the quality and efficiency of work performed by William and Miguel was fantastic. The service technician was on time and was able to diagnose the problem pretty quickly. Since the repair was covered under my home warranty, he was able to get the replacement parts in about a week and came back again to install the part and test the appliance. He has warned me that the particular brand of my dishwasher has historically had problems with the drain pump. This is the second time, my warranty company had to replace it in nearly 5 years. Overall, I was satisfied with the workmanship.

I hired them through HomeAdvisor because of all the great reviews. They provided an estimate that also stated that two people would be here for the job (kitchen baseboard, countertops, cabinets, etc). They also said that they would have the cabinets sourced before they start the job.
They sent one person that was unqualified, specially for plumbing work. He spoke no English and I unfortunately do not speak Spanish.
The bill came out to twice the hours. Mostly because one person was working a two person job. With two people, twice the labor hours I know, but the job would have been done much quicker

I contacted Handyman in the DMV for basic woodworking repairs to my vintage, all wood art house. I was looking specfically for an experienced carpenter, and Handyman in the DMV responded to my inquiry as having such expertise. While they were very responsive, I soon found that expertise and effective communication were lacking. As a result, I ended up worse off than when we started. The two stars above are for responsiveness on the front end; everything else doesn't even register.
