Bay Area Glass is a locally owned business that has been serving the Hampton Roads area since 1977. Originally established and run by David White, the company was bought in 2016 by Fred Pratt. Fred and his team continue to provide the same great service that Bay Area Glass had become known for. While David is still a valuable part of the team, Fred brings more than 30 years of public/customer service with him to Bay Area Glass.
Fred spent the past 30 years in law enforcement before retiring as a Captain with the Norfolk Police Department in 2016 to take over Bay Area Glass. More than installing glass, we pride ourselves on our commitment to customer service, and our attention to detail.

Bay Area Glass offers complete industrial glass services. Whether it's a job for industrial ovens, or one for heavy equipment, we can come to your shop or job site. Bay Area Glass can either custom make your glass or order it from the manufacturer.

A panel on my patio was completely shattered and I'm so glad I picked Bay Area to do the job. They were so welcoming to talk to and even their techs who came out to do the measurement/install kept me in the loop with each step. I couldn't be physically present to meet them so I really appreciate that they were great at communicating about what was going on. They even went the extra mile making sure my home was secure before leaving the premises until I could get back from work. Pricing was reasonable too, I didn't have to go through my home insurance and worry about my rates going

Critical: Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality
We had 2 dbl panel windows replaced. The first one was not ready when was told it would be. The both of them were nasty, gobs if grey putty, some greasy black substance Some of this came off with lots of elbow grease, others did not. Part of good service Is returning merchandise clean. I will not return or Recommend this business.

Was able to repair/replace broken glass in double pane sliding glass door in older door at their shop within an hour of them receiving it and at a reasonable price. Contacted a couple of other glass companies that said it would take 2-1/2 weeks for about the same price. Door was back in operation within 24 hours of shattering. Thank you Dawn, Gene, & Adam!

If you own a high end car you definitely want to have Bay Area Glass replace your windshield! Scotty and Adam did a phenomenal job replacing the windshield on my Jaguar XJ. My car was spotless before they started, and it was the same way when they finished. Exceptional attention to detail, I highly recommend them!

This was my first time needing a replacement windshield and Bay Area Glass couldn't have made it any easier. Honestly, I baby my car and was worried about how a replacement windshield would look, but after install, I can't tell the difference from stock. I filed the insurance claim around 2pm and got a call to schedule service from Bay a couple hours later. We scheduled for the next morning while I was at work. The techs called me when they were 15 minutes out, I met them in the parking lot, and an hour or so later they called me once it was done. I was able to see most of the work from my window
