Turn in: They did not tell us the address to turn in the vehicle until we had called multiple times to ask.
Car pick up from port: We turned in our car January 3rd and were given an estimated arrival in Seattle of January 20th. They never told us that things were delayed and we had to wait in Seattle a full extra week (paying for hotels, etc. out of pocket) until the car arrived. I understand it is an estimated arrival, but they did not communicate the delay at all and the only way we even found out was by calling 6 times and being put on hold for over an hour the DAY before we were supposed to

Website seems easy enough to navigate. However, when I called to confirm a quote I’m asked for my name and an email address to send a quote to. I start to ask one simple question “am I going to be signed up for multiple quotes from different carriers” like a lot of brokers to. I can barely get two words out when the guy hangs up on me. I call back over and over, thinking we were disconnected. No answer. I let a few hours go by and try again. Same thing again. I try to ask a question and the guy hangs up on me.

Overall they did a good job at transporting my vehicle to Alaska. My vehicle arrived on schedule in the same condition I dropped it off. Like many of the other reviewers trying to reach a person via the phone is hard. I found the company was quite responsive to emails. Finding the port in Tacoma was a little tricky. Alaska Car Transport is a middle man company. Maston does shipping and they actually ship for several of the auto transport companies. If someone was looking for a company to ship a car to Alaska I would recommend Alaska Car Transport or Maston directly.

The website was very easy to navigate. An email was sent to me after I plugged in my info for an estimate. I was able to call and speak with someone who answered all of my questions clearly. My car did take longer than originally expected to arrive but it was only by a couple days and they let you know that the dates may fluctuate. It’s the winter and my car was coming from Louisiana to Alaska so I knew it would take a little longer. Pick up was also easy and smooth. Everyone was super nice and easy to talk to.

They do not answer their phone or respond to emails. You get a person to speak to when inquiring about a booking but once you book a shipment you never hear from them again. Our agent actually hung up on me once he realized I'd already scheduled a shipment. This is second time we've used them - wished I'd trusted my instinct after the first disaster rather than give them another chance. The first time I shipped with them (last year) we booked flights down the day after we were told we could pick up the vehicle. The morning of our flight we were told it would be ready two days later. Received my car in the same condition I shipped it. It arrived early and was driven to me by the local transport agency. Great communication during shipping. Their directions were consistent from the beginning, and they impressed the point on me that the car needed to have 1/4 tank or less. I wish there would have been more communication like that about the drop off process, as well as the fact the port does not allow same-day appointments. Would definitely use them again and recommend them to friends.

We used Alaska Car Transport to ship two vehicles from Alaska to Connecticut. The vehicles were a Jeep Wrangler and a Scion FRS. I had called a few other places for quotes and Alaska Car Transport not only had the best price but they were very organized and I felt they really knew what they were doing. The instructions were clear and communications were easy. Easy to get hold of them and they reached out to me when they needed something. The vehicles arrived a little early and in the same shape as when they left Alaska. While there was an extra charge, they did allow us to pack whatever we needed

It shouldn’t be this hard to get in contact with customer service. Emailing, calling, and there is no live chat in the left corner of the screen that you are saying on your website and reviews. My car was supposed to be delivered 11/19, they changed it to 11/29 (today) and still got not call or email about the delivery. One star for poor customer service after shipping cause they were so quick to respond prior to shipping my car. I dropped it off at the port 11/05, so it’s almost going to be 4 weeks! That’s crazy. Some communication about my vehicle would be nice.

Excellent experience! With a move to Alaska from Washington and all the stress of the move, having my car moved was a huge concern of mine. Alaska Car Transport was very pleasant and easy to work with. I was even able to ship some personal items in my car! The cost was completely accurate with no hidden fees or charges.
