I was shooting a wedding in Maui a couple of years ago when I first heard the term Friendtographer, and immediately fell in love with it. Contrary to popular belief, I wasn't the one who originally came up with the title, it was actually one of my brides.
After a few pre-wedding events leading up to the big day, she informed me that she originally introduced me as her photographer but after getting to know each other, that seemed far too formal so she began introducing me simply as her friend.However, then no one realized that I was also her wedding photographer so she combined the two and from that day forward, being a Friendtographer was a thing.

While individual photos in a gallery can give you a good sense of a photographers style, it won't give you the true feeling and scope of a full wedding day, and when you're looking for a photographer, that's something I believe you really need to experience. You should look to find someone who you believe can bring your wedding day to life and ensure that those memories and emotions are felt years later when looking through your photos.

Being in front of the camera can be stressful, but Amelia makes the experience from start to finish not only easy, but fun, and her images are creative and beautiful. I've had the privilege of working with Amy on weddings and through my own family's yearly photos (her Mini Sessions are an incredible deal, are held at beautiful locations, easy to fit into your family's busy schedule, and the photos are sensational) and she truly will become/is "your friendtographer". Amy is EXACTLY what I was looking for in a wedding photographer: talented, reliable, and professional; positive and easy to work with; and very reasonably priced!! There is a reason Amy Soper goes by "Yourfriendtographer" on Instagram, she is by far one of the friendliest and talented photographers in the PNW! Her work is clean with true beautiful color, her clients feel at ease on any shoot or wedding day. She is an artist in a variety of mediums, and you really see this come through with her work and editing. On wedding days, Amy is the perfect mix of fun and fly on the wall when she needs to be to catch the perfect shot. She is a breeze to work with and I just wish I had more weddings with her each year!

There is no better person to capture the moments of our wedding day than Amy. In addition to being incredibly talented, the combination of her wonderful and fun attitude/demeanor and her leadership for getting us through the pre-wedding photos was such a blessing. She perfectly captured the love and joy of our entire wedding and turned it into such a beautiful collection of professional photography. I can't say enough about how positive the experience was working with Amy from start to finish! We had a lovely breakfast to get to know each other and once we realize we shared a love for football and dogs...I knew we had to book her. Amy makes you feel comfortable, is hilarious and of course professional. We can't wait to work with her again!

We had Amy as our photographer for our engagement photos and recently for our wedding on June 12th. She was so wonderful to work with! She is both friendly and personable but also really professional. We were amazed at how she was able to take such wonderful pics that really captured a moment. A friend who recently got married, said she wished she hired Amy for her wedding since she didn't like her photos. I would HIGHLY recommend Amy to anyone looking for a wedding photographer.

Amy was an amazing photographer !She is so much fun to work with! I met Amy in college and when my husband and I got engaged I know instantly I wanted her to be our photographer. She is super laid back and easy to talk to and get a hold of. Amy and her second photographer took wonderful photos and captured some very special moments.
