The Achilles tendon is the largest tendon in the body, connecting your heel bone to large muscles in your calf. The Achilles tendon is responsible for extending your foot. This tendon is very important for pushing off the ground when walking, running, and playing sports. Because it is such an important tendon, it can easily be damaged or injured.
With your back heel on the floor, bend your front knee until you feel a stretch in the back leg. Keep the back leg straight to increase the stretch. Keeping your knee straight, slowly lean towards the wall, pause for a few seconds when you feel the stretch extending through your calf muscle. Extend one leg in front of you with your heel against the ground, foot flexed upward, and knee straight.

Dr. Zuri was great. He was the 3rd medical professional that I tried. I had a 2" splinter in my foot and he was the only one that believed me. Just so you know, wood doesn't show up on x-rays. Dr. Zuri has taken excellent care of me. He did foot surgery, followed up and made sure I was comfortable. I wish he could be my primary, but he can't.
