Wings is a non-profit, 501(c)3, licensed mental health agency that specializes in providing the best care management and case management services to children and adults in Maine since 1995. It shall be the policy of Wings to initiate services and treat all persons without regard to race, color, sex, disability, sexual orientation, gender identification or national origin.
Our favorite slogan is "nothing about you without you". There will be no "meeting before the meeting" - instead we will assure that the family is involved in all planning and will be the final decision maker on behalf of your child. If you are an adult client, you will be supported and your decisions valued.

Services
Founded in 1995, Wings for Children and Families (Wings) was one of 22 original federal grant sites across the nation sponsored by the Center for Mental Health Services (CMHS) of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services.
Before the grant was awarded in Maine, there were very few community supports or funding options for children with disabilities, so families were often forced to send their children into foster homes and residential treatment centers, frequently in other states, so their child could get services.Wings became part of the movement toward discovering better ways to help support children in their own homes and communities.

We are currently recruiting new Board Members. Have you ever thought about being on a Board of Directors for a non-profit? Maybe now is the time? Non-profits depend upon volunteers in the communities that they serve to help govern them. They set policy and oversee the financial status of the agency.
Wings is proud to be selected as one of the Best Places to Work in ME for the 4th year in a row! We made the list in 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021. Are you looking to be part of a team that makes a difference in a child's or individual's life? A place where you as an employee feels supported and recognized for the work that you do, while still having fun with the people you work with at your agency?
Wings has been serving Washington County since 1995 and has a strong committment to youth and families in the "Sunrise County." By hiring qualified case managers who live in Washington county, we are assuring that families are served by someone who knows their community and the unique needs of their culture.
Wings has an office in Presque Isle, Maine to better serve the youth and families in Aroostook county. Our case managers travel all over the "Crown of Maine" to meet with families and youth and work out of the Presque Isle office when not at meetings with families. By having an office in The County, we are able to hire case managers who are familiar with the unique needs of families living in that area.
