Old Carrabelle Hotel
Originally founded in 1900, The Old Carrabelle Hotel is one of the most memorable places to stay in Carrabelle. Our charming inn radiates laid-back Key West Style on Florida's Forgotten Coast. Located just steps from Carrabelle Harbor and five minutes from the beach, The Old Carrabelle Hotel offers a peaceful respite for visitors seeking an unforgettable vacation experience.

Hydrogen peroxide is the best disinfectant we have found, and least intrusive. We are using it daily at the Hotel now (see post on FB). Doesn't take long, a small spray on all switches, remote controls, bath handles, door knobs, etc. Please consider doing this even at home.the wacky thing is that typical spray bottle parts fit right on the H2O2 bottle!
Services
The Old Carrabelle Hotel features five delightfully themed, well-appointed hotel rooms. Each hotel room features a private bath with a tub shower, queen-size bed, flat screen TV with cable and high-speed WiFi. Additionally, guests on both the ground floor and second level have access to compact food and beverage areas, complete with a refrigerator, microwave and coffee service available to all.
Discover one of the most unique and charming Carrabelle vacation rentals: Winchester Cottage, owned by The Old Carrabelle Hotel. Nestled under majestic oaks just up the street from the hotel, this one-of-a-kind cottage offers ultimate privacy with modern conveniences and historical charm. One of the few remaining authentic Florida coastal cottages, Winchester Cottage is 1933 vintage.
The Old Carrabelle Hotel is located near the heart of Carrabelle, only one block from the harbor. Nestled on Florida's Forgotten Coast, the picturesque village of Carrabelle lies approximately one hour southwest of Tallahassee. Carrabelle boasts a colorful history dating back before the Civil War. The area is teeming with interesting tales of lumbering, fishing, shanghai, shipping and military lore.
Avoid the stairs and command your own private hallway, bedroom and bath in our largest, and only accommodation on the first floor. Rich warm tones invite you to adventure travel with "Papa" Hemingway to distant shores. African tribal masks peek through the mosquito netting canopy, which accents the queen-size bed.

This was my 6th {?} stay at The Old Carrabelle. I have never met the owners, maybe one day I will. I absolutely love this place. Its not for everyone and thats why I love it. Its quaint, its old, its eclectic, its fun. Its not new. The owners have done a great job with this place and have done a great job for the years I have been coming here. I will continue to come here. Its now become a special, familiar place to me. I would recommend you stay here, look at all the detail. Imagine all the work and imagination that has been put into this place. You will not be disappointed, unless you just want

The Old Carrabelle Hotel was perfect for my daughter and I as we came through town. The room was perfect, the check-in was easy and honestly it was one of the best night's sleep I have had in a while. The shower was hot, the bed was clean and the TV had a ton of channels. Character? Yes! What an amazing find. We couldn't use the breakfast coupon as we had to head out early. We will definitely be back if we ever come through again.

These are the pros and cons...decide for yourself. We are staying in the Reggae room tonight. The thermostat in the hall regulates the whole top floor and it is set on 77; a note beside it says do not touch it. The ceiling fan in our room barely turns, and there is only one a/c duct in our room. The bed is very comfortable. A band playing down the street is very noisy. Fortunately, we have a floor fan than drowns it out; the fan is not helping cool down our very hot room. There is no breakfast served at this B&B hotel. We got vouchers for either a breakfast, lunch, or dinner at 3 different restaurants

It was "ok" but not great. We have stayed at several B&B's throughout north Florida. I would put this one last on our list. For the most part, it was as advertised. Old Florida charm with plenty of character. Good location. Peaceful, Quiet. But ....a little outdated. Could use some plumbing upgrades. And the dust on blinds and bed was very obvious. Sheets needed to be replaced. I think you can still keep the charm and do a little modernizing. One would expect a B&B to be a step above a hotel. The attention is is in the detail.

Stayed here early March 2021. Excellent, really captures the charm of "The Forgotten Coast". Quiet, clean, comfortable. If you're a vintage hotel enthusiast (meaning you're willing to trade some modern conveniences for friendly experiences), this location will check all the boxes. The small historic experience at its best. Beautiful balcony for relaxing. My stay had a few minor complications, which the owner graciously helped me work through. The town of Carrabelle is very laid back and friendly. If you want just a little more, there's Appalachicola and St. George Island just 30 miles away.

What a treat. This place was just lovely. Clean, comfortable, cosy and the nicest fellow guests. Perfect for a quiet get a way. Nice outdoor spaces too and such a cute town with great seafood. We had captains quarters with a private bath. Highly recommend!

This is what an Inn should be! I regularly visit Apalachicola and SGI and had a place booked except for one night. A local recommended The Old Carrabelle Inn and I loved it. I am in the Pest industry and do A TON of inspections/treatments. The room etc was very clean and no signs of anything. Especially for the price I could not ask for a better experience. Super clean comfortable and great atmosphere. I will definitely be returning!
