I had a hip replacement performed by Dr. Higgins and I cannot say enough good things about the care I received. He and his staff took the time to review the procedure with me and make sure I was fully prepared. After surgery their physical therapy department helped me to recover. Everything about my experience exceeded my expectations and I doubt I could have received better care anywhere. One thing I could not help but nice was that everyone I encountered here was genuinely caring and cheerful. It is a good and confidence inspiring combination.

6 weeks of my older son screaming out in pain every night and every hour because of carpal tunnel. He had the EMG test which stated surgery needed ASAP. He scheduled an appointment to schedule his surgery just to be told, no, now we need MRIs. Why did they not schedule an MRI before now if they knew the insurance would want one? Why was the insurance company called sooner, like when they got the EMG results back? This has been going on for 6 weeks now and still, they are doing nothing. Do you think this is the procedure they would have to follow if it was their son or daughter? No, they would follow

The front desk staff was very nice and the person doing the scheduling over the phone very nice but the doctor just treated me like another number and didn’t take the time to talk about healing, physical therapy or anything helpful. When you try to call and get further advice after your appointment they have too many patients to be able to help. I feel very disappointed and what was supposed to be a simple injury 3 weeks later has not improved at all and they have not given me any advice or help. Being able to stand and walk is my livelihood. When healthcare is privatized for-profit the least

They were great before surgery, now 5 months post op total hip replacement and I've been emailing them about the pain and all I get it take nsaids, which I have been to no avail. I wonder if they treat the older people like this after a major surgery. Guess they are just out for the money from your surgery, because they surely don't care about you afterwards. When you do email them, you get the same exact reply word for word as your last, makes me wonder if they actually even read them, when you say your pain is at an 8 and can hardly walk, that isn't normal aches and pain recovery. I felt amazing

Absolutely no communication.
My husband had a foot problem & needed physical therapy. they said they'd call him for his first appointment. never did. eventually I had him call (about two weeks later) and schedule an appointment himself. After that they said they'd call him, again, for his next appointment. second verse, same as the first. Never called. Took another week.
We waited two weeks for them to send paperwork that they claimed to send us (for short term disability, mind you we had no income during this), they never sent it, depsite us checking, twice. Once they finally fixed the issue

I have seen a couple of physicians in this practice and have been very satisfied. I've also visited physical therapists in the Williamsburg office (mostly Rachel and PTA Marty). I've had excellent outcomes and have always felt the physician, staff, therapists, and everyone involved have been cordial, knowledgeable, caring, and interesting in making sure I understand and that there is a good outcome. I've also felt as if I was a member of my own treatment team and not just a trigger finger, a busted up old knee, or a rotator cuff. We're lucky to have Tidewater Orthopedics in Williamsburg.

I had pain in my foot and made an appointment with Dr. Maloof. The staff was very polite and helpful. After x-rays and exam it was determined I had a stress fracture. Dr. Maloof explained his course of action and I was sent to the "parts department" (crutches, wheelchairs, boots etc,). Thea was very professional and gave me all the time needed. I'm now in a boot and expect to be as close to normal as I can be in about 6 weeks.
The office staff, Dr. Maloof and his "crew", and Thea made me feel they cared.
The only thing missing was a magic wand! (They said it was on back order).

Dr. Pelton and his staff have been amazing from my first visit through my knee surgery and follow up appointments. They provided a kind and caring experience and truly wanted to help in providing the best solution to the issues that I was experiencing with my knee.
