Services
The psychiatrists and nurse practitioners at Huntington Behavioral Health in Huntington, West Virginia, provide psychiatric services to assist patients in dealing with and overcoming their mental/behavioral health issues. Meet with a psychiatrist or nurse practitioner for an evaluation and diagnosis of the problems you are having.
The licensed clinicians at Huntington Behavioral Health in Huntington, West Virginia, are here to assist you in developing and implementing a plan to deal with your mental/behavioral health issues. The office policy is for the patient to be seen by a therapist for the initial assessment and then be referred to the physician or nurse practitioner if medication is needed.
Testing is used to diagnose many psychological disorders including mood disorders, memory loss and educational problems. Evaluations for potential bariatric surgery patients are also done by our psychologists. Your primary doctor, surgeon or psychiatrist will generally refer you for psychological testing.
When you want to have your child tested to see if they are on the Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), come to the health care facility of Huntington Behavioral Health. Our certified psychologists will work together with our psychiatrists to determine if your child is showing the symptoms of autism. Autism spectrum disorder is a disability that causes issues with communication, social, and behavioral challenges for children.

They were great until the place changed ownership a couple years ago. I've had nothing but problems since then. They don't answer their phone. They have missed my past three appointments. It's January and I haven't been seen since August. They're continuing to call in my meds if I annoy them enough about it by leaving messages.
I asked for my records to be transferred back in November. Two months later, they have not. I've moved. I'm having to travel back to Huntington to try to fix things in person. Reading the reviews shows me I'm far from the only one dealing with this.

Only went here because my now former psychiatrist relocated her practice here from Dr.Stultz office. a few months later she relocated again to Chesapeake West Virginia. decided to stay with
Huntington behavioral health because I was frustrated that she relocated again because I really liked her and it took me a while to find her because she was the only one that really understand me. They gave me a new nurse practitioner psychiatrist I think that's what you call them and she was pretty good not like my last one but she was good and then she moved. Then they gave me another one and she had to call

I wish I could give more stars! Huntington Behavioral Health goes above and beyond, giving me THE BEST behavioral healthcare I have EVER received. From the very beginning I have been treated with compassion, empathy, understanding, respect, and genuine care. The providers at HBH have a strong therapeutic rapport and they actually take time to listen. Thank you, HBH!

The woman I’ve talked to on the phone was nice, as was the one who did my telehealth appointment…. Approximately 6 months ago. I’ve now had two cancelled appointments from them. Both times they called a week before my scheduled appointment and cancelled due to “staffing issues”. The most recent one they cancelled has been scheduled for about 3 months. Finally this time I was told I’d have a referral sent to another office who could see me sooner, within a week in most cases. Thankfully I trusted my instincts and called said office myself who said they NEVER received a referral from

They keep accepting patients even though they clearly are past their max capacity. I went there and all my appointments are a month to a month and a half out so if you miss a appointment it will be two months from your last visit before you see anyone so if you miss two appointments your literally waiting four months. Their auto email system is messed up for reminders they send 50% of the reminders on time the other 50% I receive day after appointment. Do not go here.

Ultimately with regrets I have to say do NOT trust your mental and emotional well-being to Huntington Behavioral Health. This was not always the case but the staff that managed and ran the office were more than rude. I was lied to
and intentionally misled when they pushed and I pushed back. I called in with an emergency situation and never received a call back. When I went in for my next appointment I ask questions. I wanted to know what had happened. I have no family and really needed their
support. There was a concerted effort

Don't expect to wait less than half an hour for your scheduled appointment, in person and over telehealth. I won't say, "I would rate less than 1 star if possible" because their chairs are comfortable. They have to be if they're making people wait this long. That is the only redeeming quality of this place.
Also absolutely 0 mask compliance with any of the front staff. I literally saw one of the ladies cough into her hand and continue with her day.

As I was on the search for my physician and where she had gone they had lied telling me a different facility but I have finally found her! The BEST has gone to Chesapeake healthcare center! just in case anyone was wondering where to get the best treatment! honestly cant believe this place and not caring that someone get the help they deserve just because it's not with them 🙄🙄🙄
