Went there to get a room at 1 a.m. and no one was there at the desk. Even called the number and no one answered. Saw, up on the 2nd floor, lights and windows partiallt opened butnit able to get anyone's attention. Had to go to another motel.

I gave this hotel 2 stars and the 2 stars is for its good location. My friend and I arrived at the hotel at around 4 PM. There was no one at the front desk to check us in. We called both phone numbers that were on a note on the front desk and both calls went directly to voice mail. After several minutes of waiting, I heard that someone is cleaning one of the rooms. I asked the person if he could call someone to check us in. He said he could try to check us in which he did. When we entered the assigned room, we noticed that the room has not been cleaned and the beds were not made. We went back to

Stayed here to attend a concert. The rooms were in the 300 dollar range. Very clean. Service was good. Provided a ride to Ironstone for a small fee. The blow dryer didn't work. When I asked to have a new blow dryer they could not provide one. Instead...they took me to another room to use one.

Our stay started out satisfactory with check in, but after that it went downhill. NO ONE after we checked in at 3:00 was ever seen again behind the counter, ever. The rooms were ok, not that clean, our smoke alarm went off at 1:30 in the morning, we went out in the hallway and there was a woman with oven cleaning gloves on wandering the halls. The next morning when we told the same woman and another guy about the alarm, they basically said not our problem, they were not concerned, and both were very rude people. It was a Bates Motel kind of 24 hours. Will not stay there again!!!

We arrived thur. Manager at fri desk. I saw rated 8.5. Room was old but clean. It appeared no one at front desk at night after 6 pm. They did not offer towels nor cleaning. We were in our room the second day. Someone opened our door to the room saw we were in the room and walked away fast. We tried to ask why she opened the door empty handed. Lights were unplugged. TV did not turn in amd off with button. Man came to room to tell us that and it was just like no prob you have to get up and turn tv around to look for button to turn off and on I would not suggest going to a

Nothing fancy but rooms were better than ok'd Murphys hotel but not as good as Murphys suites. Location is great. Has a pool which is a plus. Staff super accommodating although we did want to talk to the manager to see if we could work out staying for the week after our air bnb issue. We never did see or hear from the manager but the other staff was super kind although didn't have the authority to authorize anything like matching the price on a booking site. Rooms were clean but some maintenance is needed as there was mildew in the bathroom ceiling. The mini fridge was helpful. Everyone

The location was good, short walk into town and wine tasting. However, the property was not so good. When we entered the room we noticed right away a dank odor trying to be covered up with the strong smell of bleach. We opened the windows and tried to air it out. When I entered the bathroom I noticed right away that there was water damage and black mold in the ceiling above the shower. I alerted the front desk and also showed him pictures, his response was he would notify maintenance. We were not offered a new room, we never saw maintenance and they charged us full price.

My friends and I stayed here for one night to have a half way point between Sacramento and Yosemite. The motel was not fancy but was perfect for a one night stay. It was clean and well stocked and worked great for us. However, I did book through hotels.com which was a huge mistake. They were charging me $173 a night as opposed to the motels $250, but I now know to call the manager and he will adjust the price for you. Hotels.com did not send the payment to the manager so I had to pay twice, which was no fault of the manager who was incredibly helpful. He told me exactly what to do to get it sorted

These people claimed that they never received my reservation and blamed it on the booking site. Even when I had proof. The employee I spoke to on the afternoon of 5-27-21 was rude and showed no concern or remorse. He did nothing to at least try and make things right.

Great location, but for the price, wasn't a great experience. There was hair all over the bathroom floor, which greatly concerned me that the room wasn't adequately cleaned during Covid. Also, the lady that checked us in was complaining about having to give information to another guest about the town.

On a day trip to The Big Trees from Sacramento we found ourselves pretty tired and didn't want to continue driving home to Bakersfield. On a whim we pulled into this cute little inn. My sister went in to secure the room and through the window she gave me the thumbs up. When she returned to the car she was smiling and said "that lady in there is soooo nice".

She then proceeded to tell me how Kim(the woman checking us in) took her to the room to make sure it was good enough. Kim also told her about the pool and where extra towels, blankets, coffee and teas were located.

We went

Friendly front desk agent, checked in around midnight and requested late check out w/out any issues, clean rooms (I didn't need to spend my first 15 min cleaning the room w/Lysol wipes!). Overall a great experience and would definitely stay there again the next time I'm in the area.

Murphy's Inn has been nothing but 5 stars. I arrived late and completely exhausted from a week of intense hiking/backpacking. Friendly staff that recognized my late check in and gave me a later check out. The rooms were quite spacious & most importantly very clean. I can't ask for anything more from a hotel. If I'm ever in this area and need a place to stay, I know where I will be going.

2nd time staying here. I was hoping that it would be a different experience as last time but it wasn't. The 2 stars are for the staff and location, very nice staff, location is perfect as long as you don't mind a 5 min walk. Both times staying here I've been sick for a few days after. Sinus pressure, I'm assuming from mold or dust? The beds are horrible. I brought my own pillows knowing the experience prior. We've decided to not stay here again.

Worst internet ever. One bar! Last room at the end of the hotel, but for $250 a night, I should be able to get a signal. I already know the bed sucks too. Stuck here for the night. Next time somewhere else.

Very nice older clean motel, great location for access to all of the fun of Murphy's.
The staff was wonderful, very friendly & at the end of our trip we were called to let us know I had left an item behind. We were well into our next phase of the trip, too far to return to make a return trip. They offered to mail it to me after receiving a check to cover the costs it was mailed & we days later I have my item. I'm very grateful that good people still exist.
Thank you Murphy's Inn! I highly recommend them.

What do you expect at a hotel? Last minute, we booked a night here for a wedding in town. The lady on the phone was so nice and polite!

Sent me an email of confirmation right away! We got lucky, the room was ready for us to check in st 1 pm. Clean room, warm water, small TV, mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker too!

Late March weekend for $165 a night (tax included), while everything else around Murphys was sold out or twice as much!

Much better than what we expected! Second floor room (no elevator though), the room has thin wall so you will hear some noises, but if turns the heater on

Nice rooms nice staff great location.
There isn't a holiday inn or holiday inn express in town but if you are looking for a quality comparable room this is your place. It had a full size tub, beds are comfy and the place is well kept and quiet. The price is low might make you second guess that it won't be a decent place. Give it a try and I am pretty sure you will be happy.

For just getting out of the house and running away for the night we were able to get a place here. the gentleman at the front desk is very nice and courteous , but the hotel itself needs a big big makeover there is dust and crud everywhere or you can tell the cleaning people do not clean or sweep or vacuum there's something splashed all over the front of the TV , but if it was just cleaned with new lamp shades and updated it would be a good hotel but right now for the price of $188 heck no not worth it at all.
