In the 1920's, Armand S. Flinch recognized his dedication to funeral service and his community. It was in a rented house at 170 Hempstead Avenue in Malverne, that he established the original funeral home, which came to be known as the Armand S. Flinch funeral home. After a decade a larger facility was required to service the families of Malverne, Lynbrook, and surrounding communities.
When planning a service, you have many options available to you and we will do all that we can to provide a beautiful and respectful ceremony. No matter your choice, we can offer you a space to join with family and friends in grief, comfort and love. And above all, we will do our utmost to honor your loved one.
Long Island Expressway or Grand Central Parkway to Cross Island Parkway South to Southern State Parkway East to Exit 17 South - Hempstead Avenue. Stay to your right at exit. Proceed south on Hempstead Avenue approximately 2-1/4 miles to Penninsula Boulevard. Flinch and Bruns is on the left - parking entrance on Hempstead Avenue, just south of the building.

We planned my mother’s funeral arrangements ahead of her passing with Flinch & Bruns Funeral Home. John Ferrante met with us & was warm, caring & professional. He told us what arrangements were available & let us decide with no pressure. We were able to view the caskets ourselves & informed John of our choice. Again no pressure to pick another at a higher price. We were pleased with my mother’s wake & travel to the cemetery. John & his staff were there every step of the way but in no way intrusive.
I would highly recommend Flinch & Bruns & would have no qualms in using their services again

Michael was a pleasure to work for my Mom's service. He went over every detail we asked about and provided plenty of space for my family and I to make final decisions without any pressure or salesmanship. Everything was laid out and handled professionally and with personable etiquette. Michael made sure to keep us on time for any deadlines and submit all of the necessary paperwork on schedule. John and Michael were a great help when my family required services late last year. It is nice to know that someone can be so compassionate and caring in such difficult times. This is an amazing funeral home. John, Michael, Carl, and the rest of the funeral directors are the kindest, warmest, and most wonderful people to have put together your loved one’s funeral. I lost my mother and it was sudden. Everything was extremely smooth. It takes special people to be able to handle grieving families. Their kindness is not scripted. It’s genuine.
