We had the nicest time this past weekend. This place really pulls out the stops for Halloween. They had a haunted trail maze my older kids did twice. Lots of campsites decorated for the trick or treat. Nice large sites. Nice little store w good prices for cafe food. The only thing I'd like to see is lower bathrooms/shower houses need an upgrade. Pool would be nice too, but they have a nice swimming lake and beach, so not needed.

Always a great time at the annual Freedom Fest! All monies raised during the festival is donated to Wounded Warrior Project. Yes, expect partiers & freedom/patriotic flags, signs, clothing, etc. If you're a "perpetually offended, cryin' liberal" this might not be the place for you over this particular weekend.

Here now and enjoying the campground. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The campground is a busy campground, which I don’t mind personally. I like quiet and laid back and I like busy, so it doesn’t bother me that there are golf carts running around throughout the day and evening.
I will note that the campground grounds are well maintained and pretty nice but the facilities are mostly outdated. The restroom and shower facilities need some serious updating. There were doors on the stalls that didn’t have a lock or if they did, it didn’t work. Some had knobs but didn’t have a lock. They

We stayed at Stoney Creek for a few days to break up our long trip. The night before we were supposed to leave our truck broke down while we were out sight seeing. We had it towed to the campground and from that point on Bob (at registration) was very helpful. He made our reservations day to day, offered to move our camper to a different site (someone else had our site for the following days), took us into town to pick up our truck and waited until we were ready to drive back. Bob is true example of a compassionate, helpful and kind man. Thank you very much!!

Stayed a long weekend (3 nights) last week. The park is so big! We rented a golf cart, which was very clean and well maintained, and was able to see the whole park. That would be tough to do on foot. We stayed in site #15 with a 38 foot fifth wheel. We had plenty of room to park our tow vehicle and another car, and our "front yard" was nice and roomy. Site was gravel and we had very little dirt inside the camper even after a rain shower...no mud. It was a bit odd that so many seasonal sites were mixed in with weekend sites but most were well maintained and the people we encountered were very nice

It’s okay. The posh touches of the Confederate flag in most full time slots is a unique touch. If you’re looking for adventure, rent a golf cart and participate in the golf cart demolition derby every evening. The most exciting part is walking around the park on the road with the golf cart derby and RV’s coming and going. The lack of walking areas makes for a more exciting dog walk and may encourage some light jogging. It’s a discount KOA. There’s more long term campers here than any place we’ve stopped. The yards are nice and so were most of the people. But pay no mind to the banjos

Made this our “maiden voyage destination” for our new camper and we weren’t disappointed. It’s only about 4 miles from our house (by design — wanted to be close to home if something breaks on the new camper), but it was a fantastic trip.
The few fellow campers that were with us were very friendly, the staff were very friendly and the grounds were fairly well maintained.
We liked it enough to book Memorial Day weekend and are thoroughly looking forward to that stay.
Our spot was very close to the lake and we were next to a stream as well. Very easy to back into and very level — we

This is not a resort. It's an RV park with a few campsites. Lots of permanent sites. Unfriendly fellow campers. Confederate flags EVERYWHERE.
The first night (of our two night reservation) there was a loud, belligerent drunk roaming around the campground from 2:30-4:00am the night we stayed. He circled the camp twice then wandered through the tent area while shouting obscenities and threats. We sat in our tent quietly questioning whether to pack everything up and make a run for the car.
We ultimately stayed until the sun came up and we tore down our campsite immediately and got out of there

I am currently staying at Stoney Creek Resort. Some of thereviews are now resolved. The road leading in is negative no longer dirt as some have reported. It is now very smoothly paved. As in the directions using GPS making the directions very tough going directing through the town of Greenville via exit 213, mine showed the same route. I called the office while on the highway and they gave great directions to avoid going through the small town and narrow roads as some reported. Do not take exit 213, take exit 217. Your GPS will show to go left after getting off of exit 217 to lead back to the

This is such a great family campground. We had a perfect 4th of July weekend. They even had a super fireworks display.
The staff are friendly and helpful
There were many planned activities for families to participate in. We were lucky enough to get a site near the water which was just perfect. We will be back

Only stayed here in the off season so I can't really comment on the bluegrass shows they have during the summer, but they did have bingo and parties in the clubhouse on the weekends. There's also have a take out menu with salads & pizzas & Sunday breakfast foods. There is a lake with a sandy beach and kids play area and a friendly bunch of ducks. Also a NYE party/ potluck and a valentines dinner in the clubhouse were both family friendly! The store has snacks, candy, beer and things like cheese & butter. Good laundry room, friendly staff, close to the highway. The roads and

NOT a great place to bring your kids they say it is and this is very misleading we came to have a nice quiet weekend with our family and our kids. Instead we had a loud biker weekend with a band going till all hours of the night . The camping spot next to us use not rented but they aloud 5 cars to parked there with a very loud group of people who drank, cussed and yelled all night. They even turned a car headlights on and had them directly into our room. The like of people who come here have no regards for any of the other campers at all Spoke with the owner several times but they said this

Nice place if you have stuff to do in your RV or with your kids. Not much going on here. The pond isn't stalked until May. People here are nice & protective. They see a newcomer & make sure your a real paid camper here. You can sure tell by all the barking that dogs are popular here too so bring Fido. If you like target shooting you might want to get to know the private property owners that surround this place and hang out with them since they seem to practice a lot. They also have Bingo on Friday night. Get here early cause the locals will take over.
