Established in 1939, Peterson's Nursery has developed from a roadside produce stand to a full service garden center and landscaping company. What started with a 6 year old selling blackberries in front of his family home, has turned into a second-generation family business located on nearly 8 acres of land bordering Princeton and Lawrenceville, NJ.
We still carry fresh local produce, much of which is grown onsite. Peterson's Nursery has been at the forefront of 'organic' gardening for decades. In the early 1980's we eliminated chemical pesticide spraying of our plant inventory and made the switch to beneficial insects, including everybody's favorite, the Ladybug!

Services
Our Greenhouse offers a beautiful array of seasonal flowers. The houses are overflowing with bedding flowers, herbs and vegetable plants in the spring. We offer the traditional flats of annuals, but growing in popularity are the 4" and 6" pots. These give you great bang for your buck! They are typically a larger plant, and can help you fill those patio planters for that weekend party coming up.
Have a project that's beyond what you can do on your own? We can help with that. Our experts will meet with you at your home to discuss the project you have in mind. We can update your existing landscape, or design an entirely new one. At Peterson's we do the design and install in house, including plantings, patios, walkways, stone walls, water features, and landscape lighting.

They always have good prices and carry products that I sometimes have a hard time finding in other nurseries. The owner (I think she is the owner since she's there most days) is also very nice and goes out of her way to be helpful. Yesterday I was looking for succulent soil, and since they were out she gave me some sand free of charge so I could make my own.
