While the work they did was very high quality, I didn't feel like I got the value that I have received working with other companies. I live on a wooded acre in the Santa Cruz mountains. When I hire tree teams, I typically pay a daily rate for the work, and I usually have 2 to 4 days of work. Orchard's took 7 and an half days to do what others have done in much less time. The other problem I ran into was that there were days they we had fewer team members, and at times the team didn't have access to a chipper and a truck. The trees were done very well

I found Orchards Tree Service from a neighbor who really recommended their business. I called Gonzalo and we scheduled an appointment the following day. Gonzalo and his team did a very good tree pruning to my backyard trees as well as removing a dead Monterey pine tree next to power cables which was highly impressive since many companies I called wouldn't do such work. He respond quickly and arranged the team to start work very soon. The team is professional and worked all 8 hours as promised. They completed the work efficiently and I'm happy with the result. Eddie Lopez responded very quickly to my inquiry. He came on a Saturday to give me a quote and the work was done the following Monday. I had three Melaleuca trees thinned and trimmed. The crew did a very good job and worked with me as to how much I wanted/needed to be pruned from the trees. I found Eddie to be quite likeable. I would give them 4.5 stars instead of 4 if I could. Only issues were they were a half hour late with no call and one of his employees backed the chipper truck into the tree they had just pruned and broke a few small branches. Gonzalo and his crew where absolutely fantastic. We called them as a last resort after talking to 10 companies to come out and chip some of the tree branches we took down in preparation of fire possibility due to the CZU fire. He was there within 10mins, took a look and we agreed on the work and his crew came out 30mins later and went above and beyond. Super professional and timely. Can not recommend them enough! We found Orchard's through a friend who highly recommended their services. We got quotes from several other companies, but Eddie was by far the most knowledgeable about the trees in the yard. During the quote process Eddie took the time to walk through the yard, describing the trees and their current condition and explained how he would prune them to give the trees the best conditions for staying healthy while also maintaining the aesthetics of the tree. His crew was crazy efficient, taking down huge pine trees affected by the bark beetle in record time. He was also considerate about pricing

They're did a great job on our neighbor's tree, so I gave Omar a call. He responded immediately, and was able to do a site visit the same day. His crew was available the next morning, and showed up promptly at 8am (Omar was waiting outside in his truck at 7:45). The crew did a great job, and made sure to protect our garden from falling debris. They were willing to chip all the limbs, but asked if I was okay leaving the limbs for our weekly pickup the next morning, which I agreed to. Last month Orchard's Tree Service spent an entire day working on our property. Omar and his crew of four performed a wide variety of yard maintenance chores from pruning a very large tree to trimming shrubbery. They even brought in a chipper to dispose of all debris. Omar and his crew were fast and efficient. Things look great and they did a good job of cleaning up after. They also did some great work on clearing out the mess that was my neighbors fire hazard jungle. Those guys were ripping out mounds of poison oak. Yikes. I like the way they bundled up the piles and separated stuff out. Makes sense for the removal portion of the job, means they are thinking efficiently. Orchard's Tree Service is a remarkable business. Courtesy, professionalism, good communications and thorough work. We hired Eddie Lopez and his men on three occasions to deal with our 100 foot coastal cypress trees. They gave accurate and fair quotes, showed up on time, were respectful of neighbor concerns and did a spectacular cleanup of the property.
