Even as childhood sweethearts we have always had a common goal, and this vineyard and winery is our latest vision come to life. We purchased our 250-acre ranch while living in Scotland, and our time there inspired the name Torr Na Lochs, which loosely translates from Gaelic to Hill Over Lakes. The winery sits high above the Colorado River valley overlooking both Inks and Buchanan lakes.
Torr Na Lochs Vineyard & Winery is the culmination of a common vision of owners Blake & Karen DeBerry. Even as childhood sweethearts we have always had a common goal, and this vineyard and winery is our latest. As native Texans, we are committed to wines made from only Texas grown fruit. We look forward to sharing our vision and dream of a Truly Texas Wine Experience with you!

Torr Na Lochs Vineyard and Winery is located high above the Colorado River Valley in central Texas overlooking both Inks and Buchanan lakes. As you enter the property, enjoy the leisurely half-mile drive over a granite gravel road up to the winery building. Along the way, look for Texas longhorn cattle gently grazing on the native blue stem grass on this working cattle ranch.

The winery has excellent wines. You can't beat the views and if you are lucky you you will get to enjoy the longhorn that wander through the property. I would give this a 5 star rating except for our server. Christina a pleasant pretty blonde who is slower than molasses. It took over an hour to taste 4 wines. I finally gave up and ordered a bottle as my husband took a half hour waiting for 2 more tastings. This is ashamed for the business as if we would have enjoyed our wine in a timely manner we would have ordered more. I write this review after sitting in her section twice

This is a fantastic winery among the hills that is definitely worth bringing out of town guests to. Some wineries win with their scenery, some with their wine, some with their service. Torr Na Lochs is winning with a combination of all three.
First, the view is incredible. The photos speak for themselves. It is a jaw dropping view with tons of seating to appreciate the scenery.
But really, you are there for the wine. They had a variety of tasting options, and I chose a mixture of reds and whites, which happily came with more than two whites (this is a problem other places). All of the wine

We went out to the winery with a small group and had a wonderful time. The atmosphere is comfortable, relaxed, and beautiful, the staff is helpful and friendly, and the food is amazing. The Cuban sandwich is to die for! The only downside was how busy they were, but I guess when you've got a good thing and you're doing it right, the word gets out. We'll definitely be back!

Located in the heart of Texas wine country. Yes that's right, Texas has a wine country!
The staff is friendly and they have an outdoor patio with an amazing view of Inks Lake and the surrounding area.
If it's your first time then I recommend the Wine Tasting with a souvenir glass. For around $20, you taste 6 of their most popular wines (3 reds, 2 whites and 1 rosé). And you take your wine glass home.
The atmosphere is fun with love music and and friendly smiles of the staff. If you can, try to come during the evening to witness the sunset.

Absolutely stunning location for a winery and every single wine we tried in the tasting was wonderful. A lot of times wineries can be hit or miss on their taste across their wines but we didn't have a single wine that was average or that we didn't like. While the wines lean more towards a mature palate, many were easy drinkers that a beginning wine drinker could enjoy as well!

1 star for the wines
1 star for the location
Unfortunately, I had to downgrade my initial review because of the misleading business practices on the part of this winery.
My fiancée and I visited because we were looking for promising locations where we could host a wedding reception near to where we will marry.
When we arrived, we spoke with the manager and clearly explained our desires, the number of expected guests and the approximate date and time.
We made it clear that we were not a large party, we wanted to host it at the location as early as possible - thus, not at their peak times,

All I can say is this winery is worth the drive! About an hour outside of Austin you feel like your off grid with nothing around but wine and spectacular views. Glasses of wine are about $15 bucks with bottle of wine and tasting rounding around $30 bucks so if your staying around you might as well trade up. Feeling hungry? They also have a kitchen filled with sandwiches, salads and of course charcuterie and we were lucky as they had a coal fired pop up pizza shop so we we were able to enjoy that with the live jazz music on the patio. Forgot to mention they also have a price upstairs area for those

Amazing winery in Burnet. Looked for a winery while visiting the Marble Falls & Burnet area. After debating a few options, decided to visit Torr Na Lochs and that was the best decision. It was early during the week, so was not crowded at all. Upon arriving, the hostess explained it is only outside sitting. There were about 15 tables outside that all had umbrellas to provide shade. All tables had a nice view of the rolling hills and the water in the distance. Once seated, Morgan (if I remember correctly) immediately came to explain their tastings and food menu.

I ran into this place after a long drive through Texas and what can I say it was spectacular. The view is amazing and the service was very attentive and nice. I had the hummus, it was great and complimented the wine. We also saw the longhorns walk by as the sun started to set. I will be coming here again when I have the chance!

Do not recommend this place for a big celebration with a larger group of people. There was so much potential for this winery to be amazing for us- plenty of parking, beautiful venue, and decent wine, however the customer service is half of the experience, if not more, and because of this our experience suffered.
I was very excited to visit for the first time for my birthday with several friends and family members and reserved a spot for 12 guests a month in advance. When we showed up, we were told we were only allowed one picnic table outside and it was not even large enough to fit half of the

Love it. I'm not only a wino but I also work in the industry and there are so many positive things I have to say.
1. Plenty of parking
2. They serve food
3. They serve little palette cleansers (mini crackers) with a tasting
4. Attentive
5. The view is amazing!!! Plus they have multiple areas: fire pit, main outdoor patio overlooking the landscape and lake, and indoors.
6. The wine is good, but what I valued was they had a wine that dedicates the money to an animal shelter/rescue.
What's not to love! Come early, have some wine and stay for the sunset view!

We drove more than an hour to come to this winery, and honestly, it was a really good experience. Paying more than $20 for a tiny charcuterie board is ridiculous, but the wine tasting experience was so fun. It also has some of the best views you'll see in Texas. I really recommend it, especially if you're a UT student! The drive is nice and relaxing, and Torr Na Lochs is a great winery to spend the day at.

Discovered this hidden gem while on a hill country day trip! Hidden in a beautiful setting off Highway 29, Torr Na Lochs is set on a hilltop with a slight view of Inks Lake. The facilities are excellent! Beautiful terrace with tables, nice interior wine bar, clean restrooms.
Wine: During COVID there are some odd restrictions- much purchase food to drink on site. We just wanted to sample some wine, and had two small tastes. The Tempranillo was a bit too tannic for our taste. But the Fion Dearg (blended red) was fantastic! We bought two bottles. Check in on Yelp for a 10% discount.
