Shawsheen Valley Technical High School
At Shawsheen Valley Technical High School, it is our mission to provide a positive learning experience in a safe educational environment that encourages all students to reach their full potential, emphasizes the value of a strong work ethic, and prepares them for adult life in a competitive world. We are a week away from the end of the first quarter and we are so proud of what students have accomplished so far!

Thank you to all of our staff and students who have contributed to a successful Spirit Week at Shawsheen. The hallway decorations, themed outfits each day of the week, and the incredible participation at last night's Homecoming dance have all been an incredibly refreshing return to normalcy for all of us.
Services
Welcome to the new Shawsheen Valley Technical High School district web site! Our purpose is to provide as much information as possible about our school programs and student accomplishments. Committed to report information timely and effectively, we update the site daily. Shawsheen Tech opened its doors in 1970.
Shawsheen Valley Technical High School lies in the middle of Massachusetts' Merrimack Valley, serving the towns of Bedford, Burlington, Billerica, Wilmington, and Tewksbury. A diverse and growing economy, pleasant living conditions, proximity to many natural and cultural attractions, as well as world-class medical and educational institutions are all important advantages to the surrounding area.
What is Co-op? Cooperative education provides a unique opportunity for students to be employed in their fields of study while still in high school. Students may become eligible as early as their junior year. Cooperative education employment is always in the students vocational major enhancing and expanding the students understanding of the career field.
Parking passes will be provided to eligible students at no cost for the 2020-2021 school-year. All eligible students, regardless of grade-level, will be provided with parking passes for the start of the 2020-2021 school year since we will have enough parking spaces under the hybrid reopening model we have in place.
The Educational Technology Department supports the operational, educational and technical facets relating to technology throughout the district. Our goal is to ensure our students become competent in the use of digital tools, understand the impact of their digital footprint and practices the importance of what it means to be a good digital citizen.

I came here with the salon I work for to do a demo for the cosmetology students. I was extremely impressed with the students professionalism, respect, as well as enthusiasm to learn. The teachers were welcoming and were very passionate about about teaching and seeing their students succeed. We look forward to returning to Shawsheen in the future and have already hired a fabulous student for their co-op program!

Bad experience. I had an issue arise with the school and went directly there. A woman took down some details and called me back later in the day. I asked why the superintendent didnt call me and she stated he told me to call you back. I wanted to speak with him directly...she said shes sorry about that. Very unprofessional experience. Making the secretaries do the dirty work. Shame on them.
