I started making signs in the Valley in the mid-seventies when I moved into the area. Back then, there were no computers so everything had to be done by hand. I would sketch out a design, then paint it on the sign or vehicle with lettering brushes and paint. It took many years of practice to get good at this skill.
In the early 80's, I purchased the first vinyl-cutting computer that came out. I was working in the attic of a local sculptor's workshop/garage, trying to keep up with the increasing volume of work. In 1985, I purchased a piece of land on West Main St. and built a new building, then added on two years later.
