Strength Training: 1897 vs Today - Analyzing Strength and How to Obtain It - By Eugen Sandow. In this video I review the first part of Eugen Sandow's book: Strength and How to Obtain it, using modern exercise science to determine where Sandow was right and which of his ideas are outdated. Either way you slice it, the amount of knowledge this man acquired by in 1897 is downright fascinating.
This is a beginner 5x5 Strength progression program with an emphasis on the "big four": Bench Press, Overhead Press, Squat, and the Deadlift. You should already be fairly confident in your form in these lifts prior to attempting this program. I have been taking personal training with Bryan for about 3 months now. He takes the time to tailor the exercises to your strength and has always been extremely supportive in terms of both accomplishments and failures, and I've never felt belittled or unmotivated while working out with him. His personable and knowledgeable touch means you will learn how your body works while exercising and have fun doing it!
I told myself I'd stick around for a month and see how things went, and I was readily able to see myself gain muscle definition and be able to eat more without gaining weight. Cannot recommend

I've used Bryan as my trainer for the past three months and plan to continue using him. He creates a tailored workout for you each session, mixing up different exercises and different numbers of repetitions to vary the workout and impact on your physique, strength, and endurance. He is incredibly knowledgeable, explaining the science behind each exercise, the number of repetitions, how the exercises complement each other, and what to eat/drink after your workout. I've been working out for decades, but Bryan has increased my exercise knowledge hugely in just a few months. I highly recommend him

I have been training with Bryan for the past few months and I am very pleased with the results I am experiencing. My arms are beginning to get cut and my shoulders are more defined. I started working out with Bryan earlier this year after having our first child. I’d been making an effort to lose baby weight but still had weight I was struggling to get off and having a hard time consistently working out as a new mother. After meeting Bryan through my husband he has been what we needed in a trainer and more.
