Jessica has been catering events with us since 2011 with The Garden Cafe! When Savory Roots opened in 2019 she joined us as a Banquet Captain. Jessica enjoys the excitement around planning and setting up for an event and especially enjoys helping to create memorable experiences for couples on their wedding day.

Savory Roots catered my rehearsal dinner and my wedding and completely blew us away! The food was delicious and the servers and bartenders were beyond awesome! They were all so sweet and personable. They all took amazing care of my guests and myself. I received lots of compliments from my guests on how amazing the food was and some even went for seconds. I highly recommend Savory Roots and if I ever have a chance to cater an event again, Savory Roots is who I would use for sure.

Melanie, her team, and the food are amazing! We completed a tasting and knew we wanted Savory Roots to cater our wedding. We did a grazing table with shrimp, chicken marsala, mac and cheese, asparagus, carved roast, etc. Everything was set up and displayed beautifully for both cocktail hour and our reception. They made sure we got our plates from both cocktail hour and reception. Melanie visited our venue (Mision Lago Estate) and made sure that our vision could be carried out. We will without a doubt be using Savory Roots for future catered events.

Savory Roots exceeded our expectations from start to finish. Before our event, there was clear communication giving me confidence the team had this handled! They arrived on time and had everything prepared and ready for our guests. The staff was kind, attentive, and did a great job on the display. The food was also INCREDIBLE and full of flavor!! Definitely hiring them again in the future!

We hired Savory Roots after experiencing their service at an event where our governor spoke. We hired them to cater a corporate event held at our home. The ease of ordering and the communication was prompt and courteous (mostly through email retained in their portal for easy reference). The cost was reasonable, especially considering the quality of the food, presentation and service. The staff was professional, courteous and uniformly dressed in all black. I LOVED Savory Roots for my wedding! Communication with Megan was always so warm and timely. She was so detailed oriented and made sure all the little details were taken care of so I didn't have to stress as well as answered all of my many, many questions. The two ladies working my wedding were fantastic as well! Sweet, helpful, and super friendly! The food was to die for as well! Our pizza bar, pies, and s'mores station were a huge hit!

We had so so so many compliments on the amazing food we had for our wedding from savory roots. They made the most beautiful charcuterie table and passed around the most delicious chicken and waffles and meatball sliders. The staff even brought appetizers over to the wedding party and family while we were taking photos since we couldn’t be part of cocktail hour. Most wedding food is the stereotypical chicken steak fish and it is almost always mediocre. Instead, we had a buffet line of Cuban and bbq and they combined them so people could choose from both. Savory Roots catered our wedding at Covington Farm and it was amazing! We did do a tasting where we tried several items. My guests commented on how gorgeous the grazing station was and how good the passed appetizers were. Dinner was flawless, we had chicken and pork. The chicken absolutely melted in your mouth. So good! 10/10!

Melanie was super flexible, easy to work with, understanding and empathized with all the craziness we were going through. She was able to provide us with a private tasting and we appreciated it since we don't live in FL. We not only contracted Savory Roots for our wedding but our rehearsal dinner as well. Savory Roots Catering was absolutely amazing! I definitely recommend. The staff was very attentive the entire night. They were also very personable and friendly. Not only did they provide us with a stress free night, but they went above and beyond. One staff member, Stephanie, came to the rescue twice when we were in need. Even after her shift, she was able to stay later to accommodate the party and she made the night much more enjoyable for every one. I heard nothing but positive feedback on the food, drinks, and service the whole night. We appreciate every thing!
