Personal Training is an instruction that incorporate goal setting and health education into challenging training sessions specially designed for each individual's needs. A personal trainer is there to instruct you on proper lifting technique on a variety of exercises and at the same time motivate you to achieve your fitness goals.

Real Fit was founded by David Van Hoorik in July of 2009. David's goal is to help people lead healthier, happier lives regardless of their fitness level. Real Fit was the first functional training space in the north west area Oro Valley; which means using bodyweight exercises and free weights instead of a bunch of machines.
On a safe and effective workout program or change up or add to your current workout program. Learn safe operation of all fitness equipment while learning proper strength training and cardiovascular exercise techniques. The orientation includes assessment of your goals and needs, body measurements, BMI, flexibility, and cardiovascular strength.
David is the owner and operator of Real Fit. He has over 6 years of experience as a world class professional athelete, nutritional counselor, and fitness coaching. David is certified through A.C.S.M. & NCCPT. I have been training with David at Real Fit for quite some time now. Since I started, my weight loss has been dramatic; my suit size has gone down from a 48 Long to a 42 Long.

Dave is fantastic! He is very knowledgeable. He tailors the workouts to your goals and the time you can commit to working out. He explains the reasons why certain things are important, and he is upfront if he's ever unsure about something. I ask a lot of questions that that aren't actually important, but he always does his best to answer them.

I love this gym and trainer. No frills training with a great guy. He is reliable and prepared and knows his stuff. I am older and past attempts at working with a trainer resulted in a myriad of my ailments flaring up (planters fasciitis, tennis elbow, and on the list goes) but David knows how to avoid those injuries and I am amazed. I actually look forward to my workouts. I can't imagine going to anyone else.

We (my wife and I) can’t find enough great things to say about David Van Hoorik and Real Fit. He’s a superb personal trainer, regardless of your age or condition. In fact, he took on my wife and me, old and out of shape and has worked wonders with us .... AND, he never ‘makes you wrong’ or makes you feel like you’re not doing ‘enough’. He’s a great motivator without getting down on you. I strongly recommend David to anyone who wants to get in shape, stay in shape or get into better shape.

He's extremely knowledgeable and experienced. His nutrition plan and advice is easy to follow and not at all intimidating. He tailors the workouts to the person and really makes a point to know his clients so he knows how to best help them reach their goal. He gets just as excited as you when you hit a milestone.
I'm down 45 pounds in about 5 months! Listen and follow Davids advice

I did 12 sessions with Dave and I think he's a great trainer. He helped me improve my squat and deadlift form and introduced me to additional exercises to supplement my workout regimen. Thanks to him I hit a new personal record on my squat and bench. If you're looking to improve your Olympic lifts or learn additional lifts you can put in a workout session, Dave is the man!

Simply put the best health decision I ever made was to spend time with David and to follow his instructions. I've worked with David on strength training and nutrition for the last year and a half. I am down 60 lbs scale weight (much more in fat because I've put on muscle), 3 pant sizes and am stronger than I thought possible. I now know I can bench 265 and sit-squat 400 but when I met David I hadn't done either exercise in my life.
