This is a hard time to run a small business but you don't help yourself if your website says you are back to normal operating hours and you post on your window A. On Vacation and B. No staff. This restaurant is NOT in Banner Elk, in fact it is not in the same county. Before potential customers drive a long way to support your business have the courtesy to post the temporary closure on your website.

Seems like a local favorite, menu interesting, but multiple items that were listed online were not available upon trying to order in the restaurant, which is understandable to a point...after the third item that I wanted to order that was "out" or " shouldn't have been listed on the website, I should have walked but didn't. Also a specific request for NO onions on an entree was not accommodated and diner was unable to eat entree. Overall most items were OK, nothing was a standout - prices too high for OK food! Disappointing for us.

No longer under the yoke of pandemic fear, Eat Crow is an excellent lunch place along Hwy 105 outside of Seven Devils in Foscoe, NC. If you are sightseeing, hunting for a mountain home or just passing through, give it try.
You can dine-in or get food to-go. Good parking along this strip shopping location.
Very nice lunches and with a British twist as the owner, we are told, is from the UK. Like an excellent egg salad sandwich or plate, with fresh spinach and cucumbers. I recommend the plate over the sandwich as the bread has a tough, chewy crust that takes sharp teeth to cut through without

I love this place! The food is so fresh and flavorful. The trout entree is scrumptious, as is the albacore tuna sandwich. The ruben is also a favorite. But, my favourite item on the menu is the potato salad. I always get a few containers of it to take home. As for the service, it is excellent! I Don't know what these other people are talking about who left the owner bad reviews. She's very kind and nice, quite attentive and a very helpful person! Check out Eat Crow when you're in the area!

We stopped by here on our way to Banner Elk from Boone. I've passed by this place several times on that drive and was glad we finally had the chance to try it!
The facility was not offering indoor seating; only take out or outdoor dining on one of the few small outdoor tables was allowed (which I very much respect).
Because we were hungry and everything looked delicious, I ordered lots of food! My friend went for the cucumber egg salad and a side of spicy coleslaw. I went for a cold vegetable sandwich and a side of pasta salad. I also ordered two desserts - carrot cake and some type of

One of my favorite places to eat in the high country. They make all bread In house. The Reuben is the best I've ever had but I love all the sandwiches, salads and more I've eaten here. The owners are real jewels! And during Covid they have been responsible requiring masks and keeping people outside for takeout! Thank you!

Found through Yelp as we did a COVID mountain run....excellent job as far as health protocols, which is appreciated. Food was great; would have been better on a plate, but we enjoyed our sandwiches in the parking lot (glad we were in my wife's old car, as these monster sandwiches took some skill to control, which my kids don't have)
Other than a bit too much 'kraut (to my taste) on the Reuben, we couldn't complain...but might suggest slicing the corned beef thinner--it can't be too thin (chews better and increased surface area of the meat = more flavor [one secret to a

Such goodness, and you even feel good after eating it! Their food is so fresh and delicious, with plenty of healthy options. My favorite is their Oriental chicken salad, but always ask what the special is! And always make sure to save room for dessert. I've tried at least 8 of them, and most were outstanding. You can also get frozen premade meals and soups to take home which is nice. The prices I think are on the higher end, but you definitely are paying for high quality, freshly made food. Please support these fine people at Eat Crow!

We cannot say enough wonderful things about Eat Crow and amazing staff. We are from Charlotte and searched out desserts for our Labor Day wedding outside of Boone. Meryle was very easy to work with and helped us narrow down our selections as everything on the menu looked wonderful! Our guest raved all night about the dessert table filled with pecan pie, carrot cake, chocolate tarts, Victorian sponge cake and fruit galette's. All the pies were so fresh and meticulous. We have had lunch there a hand full of times and highly recommend the curry chicken sandwich. What a gem in the mountains! Thank

You can get single slices of pie for $5 each. My wife ate a delicious creme brûlée pie that was a graham cracker crust, custard filling and creme brûlée topping. I had a bumbleberry slice. Yum, yum, yum! Just what we wanted! You can buy full pies, too, or cakes, and there is a full sandwiches-type menu as well. Parking out front. The service was incredibly friendly, and we can't wait to get back for more! If you love pie, or if you're looking for a simple meal in a nice cafe, don't miss this place when you're near Grandfather Mountain or other nearby attractions!

I need to pretend I'm buying pies and cakes for a whole regiment when I come here so it's not as embarrassing. Seriously, I cannot decide, one looks and tastes as delicious as the next. Do I want the Bakewell tart with it's delicious filling of strawberries, frangipane, and almonds or would I rather have the carrot cake? Maybe a blackberry apple pie? Oh, just give me one of each. And top it off with a creme brulee.
I know for sure I want the pan-fried trout in the peppercorn butter sauce on its bed of apples, carrots, asparagus and potatoes.
But then, the sandwiches on the homemade

Note: Although the restaurant hours begin at 10AM, food is not served UNTIL 11AM.
We were in town for a wedding and wanted to check out a local place with good, simple food. We ordered the roast beef sandwich and the breakfast burrito. Both were incredibly tasty and reasonably priced. We enjoyed that everything was made that day, including the really lovely bread.
The only reason we give this place just a 3-star rating is by showing up at 10, the staff treated us like we'd committed some social faux pas and said we were welcome to just sit and wait. There were several awkward exchanges with

Eat Crow is a cute little locally own place in a small strip mall off of 501.
We stopped in at Eat Crow for a late lunch this weekend. We had our pup with us and sat outside at one of the few tables. They even brought him a water bowl, which was sweet.
I love that you can make any of the sandwiches into a salad. Cool concept! I settled on the Oriental Chicken Salad. It was sooooo tasty. They didnt overdress the salad with dressing. Perfect amount. The mango was a nice addition. The chicken was perfectly grilled and a nice portion. Will return just to get this salad again! My husband and mother
