Granite City Glass was founded in 1955 by Jack Dempsey and Don Adams. For 65 years, the company has grown to where it is today. During it's 50th year, the company came under new ownership by Julie Dempsey and Rob Waymire. Julie is the daughter of Jack Dempsey, putting the company in its second generation of family ownership.
Granite City Glass is locally owned and independently operated. What this means is that a large franchise doesn't set our prices and control our fees. Because of this, the material costs and service fees to our customers aren't inflated by national averages. Our technicians have quality standards to meet and exceed, so that attention to detail is paid in each and every job.

Granite City Glass has been serving the Granite City and surrounding communities since 1955. As a second generation owned business, we are proud to carry on the principals of service and quality on which we were founded. As a full-service glass company we can handle all of your automotive glass needs, as well as those of your home or business.
Dempsey-Adams Auto body was founded in 1963 by Jack Dempsey and Don Adams, and has been serving the Granite City and surrounding communities ever since. Dempsey-Adams joined the CARSTAR franchise system in 1999 and offers a limited lifetime and nationwide warranty on all repairs. In 2005 ownership was transferred to 2nd generation Dempsey family who carries on the tradition of customer service and quality repairs.
Granite City Glass has repaired and replaced auto glass in hundreds of different types of vehicles and RVs. From a '56 Chevrolet Biscayne to a 2004 Freightliner to a 2020 Cadillac Escalade, we have the glass and the materials required to meet the OEM and FMVSS standards for each and every vehicle. All of our technicians are AGRSS (Automotive Glass Replacement Safety Standard) certified, ensuring you will receive a safe and proper repair.

Double pane windows come as sealed units, and while you can replace just the glass, it does have to be both panes as they come factory sealed.

Needed a window pane replaced in a vacant rental property. Gave them rough dimensions and they were able to quote me a price, came and measured, cut and installed onsite (may not always be the case but it worked here), and it looks great. Turn around time was pretty quick compared to many contractors recently.

Critical: Professionalism
Refused to provide windshield replacement service. I thought that was what they were in business to do. I'll find an installer who isn't afraid to do the job, probably Safelite. Chain shops like Safelite will put these smaller inexperienced places out of business eventually anyway.

Had them cut glass table tops to precisely the same shape of table. Nice work. Friendly service. Called a for some cut plexiglass two days ago. Ready to be picked up on Monday. Fast friendly services for sure. They also replaced two car windshields.
