In the beginning, the Purple Poppy was a seasonal store located on Cape Cod in Popponesset. Back in the early 80's the Popponesset Marketplace consisted of a dirt parking lot, a general store, and a post office. When the post office closed the Purple Poppy moved in. In those days Connie sold a lot of seasonal vacation items.

The Purple Poppy is filled with a wide variety of women's clothing and jewelry. They are on tables, the walls and even rolling racks! The staff are super nice, and the owner is often there and is amazingly friendly. If you can't find what you're looking for while you're there, they have a very robust website.
