Services
Certified coach, author and speaker, Denise Sarkor was born in Monrovia, Liberia and raised in northern New Jersey. Denise, also a licensed financial advisor, previously worked as an international banker and development consultant at institutions such as Goldman Sachs, Citigroup and the World Bank, and she leverages these experiences to serve her clients.
We start with a 1-on-1, 4-month process (8 sessions total), which includes business ideation support, business model design, business plan development, business start-up support, sales coaching and accountability around plan. Our lives are complex.
To that end, we offer 1-on-1 holistic life coaching sessions on an as-needed basis that allow for a deep dive, the development of focused action, and ultimately, impactful and sustainable results in as few or as many sessions as you need.We meet once a month as a group for a full year in order to dive deeply into various life areas and evolve mentally, emotionally, physically, socially and spiritually.

Denise is a living legacy. She is a perfect balance of knowledgeable, wise, brilliant, etc. as well as relatable, kind, caring and empathetic. She thoroughly knows this business stuff and has such a gifted style of coaching. Denise is motivating! I met Denise at a business coaching event and when I walked away from our session I was fired up! She was genuinely interested in my small business project. She was firing away with suggestions and also very generous with giving me the names of people who could also assist me. She even followed up the very next morning with another suggestion/referral. I worked with Denise as a career coach for a few months and ended up doing three phone sessions. Denise is friendly, professional, approachable, and talented women who I believe would relate well to a variety of people. She led me through a few exercises to help me better identify my goals in life and most important values. This was helpful to some extent but I never felt very clear about next steps. Denises' strategy is to help people believe in themselves and find their own track rather than just telling them, or advising them on what to do next.

Denise was the most amazing life coach. Her insight, wisdom, patience and professionalism is of the highest standard. Through her coaching, I was able to navigate through one of the most difficult times of my life. From the start, Denise guided me to consider my life holistically and then focus on particular areas of improvement. Denise has been an amazing coach. I sought her out to help me think through launching my consulting business. I am so blessed to have crossed paths with Denise. She is the first career coach I’ve had. Her compassion for my situation was enlightening and helped me turn what had become toxic shame into empathic interest about myself and my journey. The coaching approach and tools she implemented with me were very impressive and gave me the opportunity to discover my own insight into questions that had haunted me for half the year. I came to Denise and New Roots because I started a new brick-and-mortar business and needed some coaching. Denise really challenged me with every aspect of the business--bookkeeping, advertising, recruiting, expansion plans and more.
