Nestled in a peaceful country setting, this charming rustic hideaway offers waterfront accomodations ranging from a fully equipped log cabin to a variety of attractive campsites. And, of course, there's plenty of water for boating, fishing and your favorite water sports! We are a Campground and Mobile Home Park located at the border of Virginia and North Carolina on the Currituck Sound.
After check out time, day use rates will apply if you stay, (check out and register at the store for your day use pass). If you choose to stay on the premises after check out, day rate of $5.00 per person will apply. We are a family owned Campground. The Cordaks purchased the existing Lazy Bee Campground in 1983.

Nice little campground right on the Currituck Sound, good sites right on the water with electric hook ups, drinkable water and a little shade at some tent sites... Recommend bringing wood if you can, not much to scrounge from but available to purchase at Campground store on site, with plenty of supplies. Would definitely come back

We absolutely love Sandy Point. It is very affordable and is excellent for our likings which is Quiet, Peaceful, Great Fishing on site and close by, Great Hiking Trails close by, Boat Launch, private (isolated) group sites. I could go on and on but why spoil it for you. I have been to a lot of campgrounds and no this place isn't the "Taj Mahal" of campgrounds, but the people and staff here are the best and kindest I have experienced.

The first warning sign is that the campground is attached to what looks like a long term stay trailer park. people live there.
the bath house is in horrible condition..mold all over the place..nowhere to change. no ventilation. nasty toilets. questionable liquid all over the floor. I felt dirtier after I took a shower than I did before hand.
we rented a rustic tent site which turned out to be all the way in the back of the campground in the middle of a drained swamp with no trees for shade. it is not the tent site they show in the pictures with a seawall and trees. we also had some guy in a 4x4
