My fiancé is away for military training and he has been wanting to get his bike fixed for several months now. I figured with him being gone for a month would give me plenty of time to get his bike fixed for an unexpected surprise when he returns. I took his bike to Capital Cyclery on Jones Creek & they basically told me that they didn't have the parts to fix it and that it would be the first week of September before they could get it back to me! They also expected me to call every week to find out if they had gotten the parts in that the bike needed. I called around to the location on

This is the only place that I will bring my racing bike to for any work. They are friendly and aim to please. They may provide an opinion or two contrary to what you want, but it's based on experience working on thousands of bikes each year.

I participated in a triathlon in Hawaii a couple of years ago, and they carefully packed my bike away and had it ready when the transit arrived to pick her up. When it returned to the shop, they looked at a few issues i had while racing due to the shoddy set up the island bike shop did, and they made some recommendations and fixed somethings.

They have

Friendly staff, quick service. Went in to replace broken off hand brake on my son's bike. Young guy told me they would need 2 days to fix due to the beginning of school rush (they're just outside north gates of LSU's campus), which was fine. They didn't call me to say it was done; I called them. Best to call them ahead of time because parking and access is a beast. You don't want to make an unnecessary trip. When bike was ready, a nice young guy helped me out. All good. Based on the other (helpful) reviews on this page I was expecting bike snobs. They didn't judge

I'm done.
Was in to get another flat fixed.
Unsympathetic customer service and they overinflated the tube (didn't use a gauge) which caused the new tube to fail, this after not having it fixed when promised.

These guys are the best bike shop I've been to. I've raced and have been cycling seriously since 1985 and lived in Toronto, Vancouver, Los Angeles but this shop is the best and commuted group and know there craft and care unlike most shops, I was working in Baton Rouge last summer and I shipped my cervelo soloist only to discover a crack forming in the frame.. I told them about it and they took care of me and set everything up with cervelo and when the replacement s3 arrive they set it up perfectly with my campy components. I am in Nola working now and my derailleur hanger got bent in

Every time I go into this store I have a bad experience. They're a bunch of bike snobs. Very rude to customers, and overall not helpful. Today the man refused to put new handlebars on my bike because in his opinion they wouldn't be right on the bike. I don't care what a bike snob thinks, I just know I want new handlebars. And for $50 for the bars alone, I don't want them to put new ones on anyway. I went across the street to Massey's where the guy put new handlebars on for me for $20 total, and was nice about it. I love my bike with the new bars, I don't need to be

I'm biased toward this shop. I used to sort of work there (maybe that story should be told but not here) but it's been years since I did and that was under a different owner / manager. There you go - full disclosure.

I haven't owned a car in over 20 years. For the past 7 or 8 years I've been riding daily. My first good all around, hauling groceries / laundry / clothes for work / gettin' around city bike came from The Bicycle Shop.

Now, fast forward to last week. I brought my main ride, Jethro, into the shop for a major overhaul, long over due. I was expecting 3 or 4
