I was born in Dallas TX and raised out in the country of Hico TX. My experience at my office taught me how to provide the right protection for our customers, ranging from auto insurance, homeowner's insurance, renter's insurance, life insurance, and financial services. Before opening Erik Slaughter State Farm, I worked as a High School and College Football Coach for 25 years.
I moved around between Stephen F. Austin State University, University of Houston and University of West Virginia. I attended college at Tarleton State University and studied Sports Science. I enjoy spending time outdoors in Coppell, TX. In the summer I take advantage of our lakes and boating with my wife, son and twin daughters.

Erik and his team have been so helpful! We had so much fun today at the dog park. I think we like to go there just like our dogs. We live close to the lake and sometimes we take them down there. They enjoy walking and getting in the water.
