We welcome athletes, community groups and families alike for events, water sports, recreational swimming, fitness activities, swim lessons or just fun. You don't have to brave the journey to a better you all alone. Let one of our certified professionals in health coaching and personal training be your guide.

Knowing your kids are well-cared for makes it easier to enjoy your time at The Wave. Our goal is to provide children with a safe and secure environment through a professional approach to childcare. Whether to specifically treat sore muscles or just melt away the daily stresses, The Wave's choice of massages offers a relaxing escape for everyone.
Services
The Wave is a non-profit organization dedicated to the health and well-being of the community. Through a public/private partnership, the community is provided with an exceptional facility that will maintain affordability and not be a financial burden to taxpayers. This project has been a conduit for the community to come together and create a great amenity that will enhance the quality of life for all of the people in the North Valley.
The Wave is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization which has two available options for your gifting opportunity. All donations are tax deductible. The Wave is devoted to being a center for excellence in aquatic, fitness and recreational programming while maintaining affordability. This 7.5 million dollar, 52,000 square foot facility is one of the most ambitious community projects ever undertaken in our area.
Currently, about 5% of our members are part of The Wave's scholarship program. These members are unable to afford the full cost of membership and are granted a reduced rate membership based on their financial situation. Using a system similar to the YMCA's around the country, we have adopted a sliding fee scale that helps local residents enjoy our facility.
Thank you for your donation request. The Wave is dedicated to giving back to our communities we serve, and we welcome the opportunity to support community events, fundraisers, and other charitable efforts. We receive many requests for support and each year we proudly assist as many non-profit organizations as we can.
Unique to PTA in Whitefish, we can design treatment plans that may include aquatic therapy. By conducting our care in the water at therapeutic temperatures, patients have greater control over their movement with less pain as the body is partially supported by the buoyancy of water. Certain conditions and injuries are best treated in water.

I've gotten lazy about writing reviews but needed to make sure to write one after our experience today & a month ago. The staff here is so friendly and accommodating!! They went above and beyond to take meet our needs. We love the pool options-- a large pool for laps, a zero entry walk in pool for toddlers and babies and an amazing 90 degree pool that my baby didn't want to get out of! The water slide was not operating both times we went, but it requires two lifeguards for it to run and with the staffing shortages everywhere this is pretty understandable.
They have a great big hot

Was traveling and this was the best $15 I’ve ever spent on the road while passing thru a town… People are great- day pass is 24 hours.
Dry sauna, pool, gym, steam room, WiFi, clean showers. I even got a great coffee and fresh green juice - and then went back another day for a massage from Patti, who was amazing!
Loved this place. Will be back when I’m in town.

Staying in Whitefish for a month, needed a place for water aerobics, yoga, and weight lifting. Wave fit the bill and then some. Best in class - Dave's Yoga class and Scarlett's Water Aerobics class. Ms Scarlett understands the correct way to exercise. The other instructors were good. Mr. Dave keeps his class moving, not a single pause. It was perfect. The gym is clean and spacious. Highly recommend for visitors or residents.

No climbing wall, mediocre customer service. Even though as a month-to-month customer I was paying more than the yearly customers I was treated poorly once they reopened from the initial COVID shutdown and not allowed to use the facility. They do keep it clean though.

I have used the wave for my children's swim needs and we like to go swimming for fun too. During the covid time I know things were very different-private lessons were not an option for non members. I have waited a year to finally get put on a list for private lessons to find out that private lessons are only available until 4pm during the week bc the swim team starts at 4pm. There needs to be a better system for private/duet swim lessons. Most people are working and can't make those times work as well as kids being in school. There needs to be an instructor that is paid hourly or has a certain

Fantastic gym! Great, clean equipment and a bunch of additional perks (basketball court, great locker rooms, saunas, etc.) that make it a 5/5.

The Wave is a fantastic facility. They have superb cardio and weight lifting stations. The pool, spa and steam are spectacular. The staff are MOSTLY helpful and kind. Occasionally someone has the snobs or the grumps, but that is most places. They have many many classes with top tier instructors. See Bruce R. He'll get your sweating. The gym is awesome too. If you are looking for a family friendly place to get a workout, this place is it. If your looking for a grungy, dark, serious lifters gym, you may want to keep looking. I mean no chalk? Really? Lol ok.

New to the area, I went into The Wave today to sign-up as a new member. 35 minutes later, I was still waiting on the lobby couch and nobody had come out to talk to me. SO - I had to go ask for the Manager, and he told me he was too busy to talk as he had to go get his blood drawn, so he brought out his assistant manager who was friendly, and offered to help, but what became clear to me is their new member "service" is clearly lacking in any type of service. Meanwhile, three people stood at the front desk chatting away without a care in the world. I have had better service at McDonalds

Lifelong fitness enthusiast. Visited a friend for a week and took advantageous of the weekly rate and visited daily. In so doing, swam, lifted weights, and participated in two yoga classes. Great experience. Almost worth moving to Whitefish for. Every employee was helpful. Plenty of water fill up stations. Everything appeared clean. I was comped a free smoothie due to a mix-up because of a cancelled class. Customer service at its best.

The guy who works at the membership desk is just plain miserable!!! He looks pained to be working and his attitude matches that. He was actually frowning at me. You have to get past him if you want a membership and he didn't sell me. There are several other work-out facilities in Whitefish and even more in Kalispell, where you wont have to get past a grumpy, pouty membership boy. Attitude is everything in business. Rockfish fitness is 4 blocks away and open 24 hours and the staff is down to earth and SMILES.

Just about everything you could ever want in a gym. Heated pools, sauna, steam room, huge cardio and weight rooms, group classes, juice & smoothie bar, child care and friendly staff! Leaving Whitefish at the end of summer is hard for many reasons, and saying goodbye to this gym is a major one.

Very nice health club. 3 pools - heated, lap and kiddie. Modern machines. Full class schedule to meet all ages. Clean, large locker rooms. 2 juice bars. Racquetball and basketball gyms. There is a physical therapy office, beauty salon and nursery school/ daycare attached. They have a scholarship program so it is affordable for everyone. Nicest health club in the valley!

I've been working out at various gyms for 30 years and I've never been to a gym like this. I moved to Whitefish last year and joined soon after arriving and never regretted it. The price is right for all the amenities. It's huge with many different activities. I play racquetball and even though there are only two courts I can jump on. The staff is friendly and the place is clean. Best time to come is after 7pm when it's less crowded.

The Wave is a not for profit gym for us locals that can start flacking out after a long gray Winter and rainy Spring. The Wave is an outlet that helps us get through till Summer and Fall. Far less expensive then anything you would find in a city with equivalent offerings.

Decent weight room.
Great pool(s), check the online schedule before heading in if your looking for something specific
Kids pool with a pretty big slide and life guard (check schedule)
Racquet ball
Full basket ball court
Decent sized aerobic area with treadmills, elliptical, rowing, step machines and so on.
Places to relax

This is THE place to get your sweat on in Whitefish.

The amenities include: Swimming pool, hot tub, two racquetball courts, full court basketball courts, Spinning class room, spacious locker rooms, full free weights area, modern weight machines, multiple class-rooms, as well as a full torque-type resistance training room.

Child care is available for when you need to get your workout in while having the kids around...

Not the least expensive gym I've seen, obviously, but it is a great facility.

Also, they have free wi-fi, which makes it easy to meet here for business or finish up some work
