Gold Country Coffee Roasting

We are spoiled to have this little gem in our community. Beans are roasted on site, staff is always super friendly and service is great. My only wish is that they would have more food options. Hours are limited so get your coffee while it’s hot!

They make good drinks. Was here on a mini vacation and made two trips to this coffee shop during my time in Murphys. The first day I came and the staff was very friendly and upbeat. The next day the staff was so so, not as enthusiastic. Other than that the drinks were spot on. I ordered a Hot mocha latte with regular 2% and the cherry syrup. I loved the cherry mocha from Starbucks during the valentines month, it seems it was around for 1 year but they never brought the drink back :( so when I saw the cherry syrup here At this coffee shop I immediately tried to recreate it and it was delicious!

Great coffee, but what really wowed us were the rugelach in four flavors. The cinnamon walnut were a favorite. The cream cheese tanginess in the pastry really came through. Charming corner location in an even more charming town.

Great coffee! Nice and hot, always fresh. They have a small amount of fresh pastries, some pre made gluten free stuff too that I didn't try. There's plenty of seating and tables, indoor and out, and very clean. The manager lady is very friendly and helpful too. Will go back when I'm in the area again.

Great coffee! Smells like fresh coffee beans when you walk in. Had toasted bagel with cream cheese. Bagel was very fresh.

That was a great latte. I had a blended, hazelnut latte that still tasted of coffee, not like the green mermaid and her cups of liquified candy bars. If you are a Peet's or Philz kind of coffee drinker, this place should get your consideration.

I was staying at a cabin in Avery last week and when I arrived I realized while we have wifi we didn't have cell service which wasn't going to work for me as I had calls scheduled the following day for work. I found this nice coffee shop in town and ordered a chai tea and worked away from 11am until they closed. I felt a tad uneasy about taking up one of their many tables all day with just a tea order but none of the staff made me feel uncomfortable about staying. I was going to order pastries or something but by the time I arrived they only had a few items left so I wish they had a larger

Great cappuccino in Murphys!

Fun staff that takes pride in their coffee. They seem to have also a wide variety of coffee and tea drinks. It offers the variety of a Starbucks with better espresso and a Soul. :-)

Also we experienced a very friendly staff that seem to love what they do!

The seating environment is clean, comfy and climate controlled.

Highly recommended.

It's nice to see them finally wide open I love all the local atmosphere of people who greet every one with a smile and hello or good morning. It's great to able to come in order a coffee and sit down open your computer and do some work.

Wife and I stopped off for some coffee without much along the lines of expectations. We both opted for "Darcy's Cold Brew" and it was quite good. Outdoor covered seating, nice quiet area opposite Main St. Order totalled exactly $10, which is something I appreciate. Wait staff was polite. Overall great experience, taking into consideration COVID restrictions.

Delicious latte- I got a large, which comes with three shots of espresso (unlike a large hot latte from Starbucks which only has two!)

It was great! I wasn't feeling adventurous, but they had some delicious looking drinks like peppermint bark and some other delightful looking treats.

Big fan's of this roaster!

We did not stop into this coffee shop but picked up their roasted coffee beans at a local supermarket. We bought the Arnold and Murphy's blend whole bean coffee.

Murphy's blend is so smooth and makes a great espresso. Wishing we had purchased more! This coffee roaster is among our favorites we have tried...enjoyed the bag for at least a week, or however long it lasted us!

Hope they will start distribution to So Cal!

Excellent coffee, but disappointing pastries. I appreciated their Covid safety measures.

My husband and I loved our Americanos, and my dad liked his cappuccino. The banana coconut muffin was just okay, and the scone was disappointing.


We called in our order by phone - it was great to find our coffees ready when we arrived 10 minutes later.

The entire set up felt pretty safe for Covid - we never had to enter the cafe, and payment and pickup took place outdoors, which we appreciated during this surreal time.

This is the spot in town for the freshest coffee. I had a iced vanilla latte with oat milk. It was good till the last drop! Covid has made a mess of things, but these guys have a great system. Best coffee in 50 miles!

I had just gotten into town and needed to find somewhere to get WiFi and do some work for a bit and this was the first place on the search.
The iced americano was really good. The staff was all very friendly and helpful.
Maybe it was because I went in thru the back door but I was really surprised by how large their space was inside.

Delicious coffee! Love this place. Locally sourced and yummy! They have tons of flavors and they have coffee from all over the world! They also have a lot of cool merchandise you can buy, and a lot of it is sustainable! I come here every time I'm in the area!

I love this little coffee shop. The baristas here are very friendly and offered to help me pick out a beverage as this had been my first time here. I had the cold press and it tasted so fresh and clean, never had anything better! They even use recyclable straws! Definitely recommend, and I would stop by again.

This is my second time here and the last time was about three years ago. This whole area is practically a desert for coffee lovers, so this is one of the best options around from what's available.

My first complaint is that the interior design of this place is just not appealing. The floor looks clearly worn down and needs to be replaced. The seating is rather boring and not stylish and the decorations on the wall are rather uninspired.

I ordered a 12oz Mocha with almond milk. It tasted drinkable, but nothing I would go out of my way to get again. Also don't expect any latte art when
