Haile Plantation Animal Clinic partners with you to keep your furry family happy & healthy. Our Gainesville veterinarians have served the community since 1995. Here, we treat pets like family. We understand how important your companion is to you - because they're there for you through the thick and thin of life, with a wagging tail or a happy purr, and unconditional love.
Our goal is to be your partner in taking care of your pet's physical and mental wellbeing, so you can enjoy many happy years together. So, whether your pet needs a checkup with a doctor. Dr. Linda McCollough attended college and veterinary school at Auburn University. After practicing in Atlanta and then Orlando, she returned to her hometown of Gainesville to be closer to her family.

Services
Our UrgentVet mission is simple: We want to be here for your pet when your primary care vet can't. Our goal is to provide quick, convenient, affordable care 365 days a year. Think of us as urgent care for pets in Gainesville, Florida. We'll be there when you need us most. Dr. Elizabeth Luria graduated from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in 2016.
For that reason, diagnostic tests may be recommended for both well pets, and for pets who are ill. For ill pets, diagnostic tests can help get to the root of the problem more quickly - and thus, get your pet treated and back to normal health faster and more efficiently. The thing about sick pets is, they often have "non-specific" symptoms.
Often, it can be surprisingly tricky to tell whether or not your furry family member is in pain. That's because dogs and cats tend to not complain like humans do, and instead, try to mask their pain (at least until it gets worse). Adding non-slip surfaces - this is especially helpful for dogs whose legs slide out from under them on wood or tile floors.
If your furry best friend gets a wound - such as a bite, scrape, cut, or burn - you'll want them to be healed as quickly as possible, and comfortable during the healing process. For more routine wounds - like minor cuts and scrapes, broken toenails, or hot spots, for example - you'll still want to seek care as soon as possible.
If you feel your pet may be currently experiencing a medical emergency, please seek veterinary care right away. Or, after hours, call the UrgentVet Gainesville at 352-374-0040, or BluePearl Pet Hospital at 352-672-6718. However, just like for us humans, it's better to be prepared ahead of time, and know exactly where to take your pet should an emergency happen.

For the first time ever, I feel like my cats have gotten the vet attention they deserve. Dr. Courtney Adams and technician Paul were both very thorough and they listened to our concerns. My experience here were much better than Banfield pet hospital. (My cats received annual exam + blood test + X-ray)

I have adopted two dogs from Haile's Angels and the clinic has been amazing with all the animals in our family. One key thing I love is that they are open 7 days a week. That is the one issue I had with my other vet, was scheduling and timing. I would recommend anyone with a pet to bring their animal to Haile. I love the friendliest of the staff and the way they work with the pets to not feel nervous at the clinic

We had to make the gut wrenching decision to help send my grandma’s dog, Skye, over the rainbow bridge today. Dr. McCollough and her team don’t normally do house calls on Thursday’s, but she offered to come anyway so Skye could pass at home in my grandma’s arms and surrounded by family. While you never want to see the day of losing a pet, Haile Plantation Animal Clinic made the process as painless as possible. We cannot thank them enough for their compassion during this difficult time for our family. Dr. McCollough knows our dogs well and it is great to have a vet that treats her patients

This was my first visit to Haile Animal Clinic. I am very loyal to my vet, but I had a feline emergency and I was recommended to Haile. The front desk staff was very warm and helpful setting up an appointment. The vet and vet tech were amazing with my cat. They were compassionate, thorough, and ran several diagnostic tests. They were upfront about all the costs. I was grateful for such good care in a stressful moment.

We love the haile plantation animal clinic. We have a special needs dog named teddy and they have taken care of him like he’s their own. They have excellent customer service and truly care for the animals they treat. All the vets there are outstanding and their staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. I definitely recommend them for your furry family member!

I’ve been a customer here For 6 years, but when I called at 7:30am to try and drop off my very Ill cat urgently for hydration and evaluation (vomiting and lethargic for 24hrs) I was told the veterinarian was busy and only opening was at 4p. The cats are known to them and just had their annual wellness check 2 weeks ago!) Not very caring, poor triage, and apparently not accommodating if it interferes with their scheduled day. I have been mostly happy with their care, over the years, but Very disappointed with their response and actions today.

Love the location. But a few concerns. My dogs appointment took one hour and forty five minutes. This was a standard annual. The appointment itself was very expensive. In addition to the cost of the appointment, the preventative medicines (for tick, heart worm, etc ) were exceptionally more expensive than Chewy.com. After both the cost of the appointment and how much more I spent at their office on preventative medicines, I felt a little taken advantage of. When I called, the vet did price match without question. But between the length of appointment and the various costs(which I found high), I

We are newbies to Florida. Our neighbor recommended this animal clinic and can not say enough positive things about them.
Firstly we boarded our clan there on a trip back to Texas.
I received updates on their well being via phone!
Dr. Linda McCollough one of the owners, personally gave me a call after giving them and thorough examination.
Excited to meet her!
We returned for the second set of shots, the receptionist came over and each one of our loves were given treats and loads of love.
Dana, our tech I cannot day enough about. She is awesome. I could sit down over coffee and listen to her

Staff here is great! The clinic isn't very close to where I live, but the vet was wonderful and always very helpful with any pet parent worries. Started bringing my pup here since we adopted her from Haile's Angels, but kept going because of the ease of scheduling and good experiences during visits. Also great boarding availability most of the time.

Dr linda is the most compassionate caring vet I've ever met. We have used her for ten years and about 6 pets. She has called us after hours with test results and helped care for our pets who were terminally ill by phone when we were out of state. This is not a job for her, it's her life. She never stops. We love her!!!
