We arrived for lunch around 1:30. Did not feel overly welcome. Our server not very friendly. I ordered an old fashioned. The server called for someone to make drink. She brought the wine my companion ordered. She came back after with my drink. I looked at she was like what? I said this is not old fashioned. It was bourbon with an orange slice. Noting else. She said you don't want it. I said its not what I ordered. No offer for something no apology nothing. She then said we don't have bartender till 4. We left. The menu didn't look great and with her attitude I didn't want to stay. Very unprofessional

I was searching for restaurants with gluten free menu options as I recently found out that i had an intolerance to gluten. Bistro 127 had high ratings and great reviews so my husband and I decided to give this place a try. We were not disappointed! The restaurant itself is beautiful and comfortable and the wait staff was especially kind and accommodating. Our waitress spent a considerable amount of time explaining what menu options I had and recommended a great meal for me. There were only a handful of entrees/appetizers that could not be prepared as gluten free. Our meal was so delicious!! I was

Lovely place to dine. I love the decor! It's very rustic and just awesome.
Our waiter was very social and bursting with energy, which helped us relax. I had their Bistro Burger, which was amazing. The meat was nice and moist, the sauce was delicious, and a potato roll makes it delicious. Perhaps we should add a brioche bun and you'll have me sold for the rest of my life. Lol. We went for lunch and the prices were very reasonable. They support local farmers, so that's more motivation to dine here! I can't wait to return.

Our first time there and for sure not the last. The chef knows what he is doing. The food was delicious and you can really tell the fresh ingredients they used, which is half of the whole process. All flavors were combined very nicely to blend together. A large choice of drinks as well. Our waiter was nice and very knowledgeable about the food without being pushy. I don't like pushy waiters. Great place to visit and take your friends.

I have enjoyed Bistro 127 for many years. Their ever evolving menu is a breath of fresh air for Hickory. I had a men's group meet there for over a year and the staff was always gracious and the food was excellent.
There is really no other place to get something unique for breakfast than at Bistro 127. I miss the Biscuits and gravy though..bring it back!

Bistro127 is the one place that we head for when we are in Hickory which is at least once a week.
The menu is different, delicious and made with fresh local quality produce where possible. That is important to us. The pizzas are different and superb. The service is good and they pay attention to any special needs. The whole atmosphere of this unique eating place is great. And we wish every success to Matt Miller and his wonderful staff.
