Our goal is not only to create and develop a dancer but also to build his/her self-confidence. We provide the student with all the qualities needed to become a well-rounded performer.

The fun loving dance student is provided with a variety of classes. These classes are intended to motivate, inspire and train the young dancer to reach his/her goals.

Services
This includes the end of the year recital t-shirt with the dancers name on the back and ($10.00 off) ticket purchase to the annual recital. This is a deposit towards the annual recital costumes and a remaining balance for costumes will be e-mailed/handed out. Please call the front desk for more information regarding our discounts that we offer: Military discount, Siblings discounts, Semester discount and Yearly discount.
Thank you for supporting SSDA and our dance dress code. Our dress code was created to promote the proper attitude and respect for all dance disciplines. Please note that the Dress Code at SSDA will be strictly enforced to ensure the most optimal professional setting for all of our dancers.
No street clothes or footwear will be permitted for all TECHNIQUE CLASSES (ex ballet, tap, jazz, contemp/modern, etc) If you are not dressed properly with shoes and attire, you will be asked to observe class after one warning.Your cooperation is greatly appreciated and allows our staff to give their undivided attention to the needs of all our students.

Established July of 2008, Southstar Dance Academy LLC has been home to award winning competition teams. This group of dancers and choreographers have won numerous local and national titles. SSDA Dance Company focuses on fostering an inclusive learning environment where everyone is respected and appreciated.

Best studio ever! South Star Dance academy is a kind,Safe, loving, dance studio. Not only did I become a stronger dancer, I met fantastic students and teachers. South Star is my safe place and my home, and I couldn't have made a better desision going here. Iv been to all studios and Lawton for quite some time, and I've finally found where I want to stay. They offer many classes here, with 10/10 Choreography and teaching. 100% recommend South Star Dance Academy ❤️

My granddaughter goes to south star. Just today she came to my house to spend the night and showed me all of her dances for recital. She is in the most advanced classes and has been dancing for 10 years. She also does competition. The recital at the end of the year is always so entertaining and fun to watch. South star is definitely an amazing dance school. 💃

South Star Dance Acadamy is by far the best studio in Lawton. I have gone there for many many years and I have no complaints. Ms. Emily and all the staff are fantastic they help all of there students become better dancers. They also make sure the students have a great time. I would suggest SSDA to any dancer out there. They give all kids a bright future.

Great dance studio!! Perfect place for any age young or old. Recitals are absolutely AMAZING. Not only does Miss Emily and the rest of the staff provide quality dance instruction, they provide life lessons as well. If your new to the area or have a child who wants to dance a totally recommend Southstar. There is also competition dancing. Southstar is definitely the place to be.💜🧡
