Leonard Buildings & Truck Accessories

Not sure what type of service the folks consider great,but my experience with them on line has been very poor . Requested a quote for a truck cap one May 17 2021 it took5 hours to receive quote. Quote didn’t exclude cost of installation, requested cost at 2:30 and haven’t received a response yet it’s been 22 hours. I can’t imagine what service would be after a purchase if this is what they do before hand.

Kevin Smith is a true professional and just a outstanding individual. His knowledge, integrity and drive to please the customer is unmatched and is greatly appreciated. Their was also another man that shared some great wisdom with me but I failed to catch his name. Overall I am extremely pleased with the service and honesty during my first experience today. It is without question I will be a returning customer for any of my truck accessory needs.

Overall good product but poor customer service. Delayed multiple weeks with no updates or communication. Left on hold multiple times, once over 20 minutes. Many emails went unanswered as well.
Shed was damaged by delivery crew and those repairs took multiple weeks on top of the delay.
Was going to bring my truck in but do not think I would trust them with it based on how organized they are at the shop. Really wanted to support a local business but they don’t seem to really care.

Fantastic experience. We had two truck racks installed and we couldn't be happier. Kevin and his crew was very professional and at a fraction of the cost of other places we were considering. Will definitely be doing business with them in the future!

Got a cover for my truck great job and friendly people even washed my truck. Guy did a great job installing and wash job on truck.

We needed help with our hitch and ball Monday morning after the Fourth of July weekend. When we called they told us to come right over, pull around back and Rick would help us. That's exactly what happened and we were able to get another part we needed as well. Very friendly & helpful today! Wholeheartedly recommend!!

Kevin Smith is amazing!! My husband and I brought our truck by, last minute and right before closing time(not to mention, it was freezing outside)to have our truck cover looked at because it would not open(which we purchased in Missouri)and we were sure we would have to make an appointment and come back another time! But this guys willingness and attitude was outstanding, he did some adjusting and we left there with it working!!

I received my well-build outside storage unit and was very satisfied. Of specific note, I was exceptionally pleased with Mr. Kevin McLaughlin, who personally delivered the storage unit. Not only did he thoroughly provide me with a comprehensive understanding on county ordinances, to ensure my unit adheres to safety codes, he also ensured the set up met/exceeded my expectations! I simply couldn't be happier with the service he provided!

Delivery date was changed, Coop was delivered to the wrong location then back to original and no time to inspect before delivery due to this. Coop arrived with paint missing on places and overpaint. I was informed that the run would not be assembled at the time of delivery (therefore unusable). I was promised someone would assemble it that afternoon or at most first thing the next morning. I never received follow up calls regarding this..in fact, had to call to ask for information numerous times. The run was installed later.

I was so pleased with the service received at Leonard Buildings & Truck Accessories in Yorktown, VA. I purchased a bed cover for my husband's truck a couple of years ago. He loved it. Fast forward June 2019 someone crashed into the back of my husband's truck and the cover was no longer secure. The Micar Collision Center in Chesapeake, VA was only concerned with the bumper and tail gate. All they cared about as well as USAA was that it would close and lock but it was no longer lining up and secure from rain and theft. We could actually place our hand between the latch and the bed.

Quick service and very genuine people! They helped me get exactly what I wanted for my '04 Ranger, and also were willing to go the extra mile to explain the accessories and products they were selling! Couldn't thank them enough, and their accessory layout in the showroom floor is great for customers looking to buy toolboxes, bedcovers, or other accessories! Wouldn't have gone anywhere else, 5 stars. Thank-you to Kevin and Brian. Almost impossible to find a shop with this good of customer service.

This is the second Leer 180CC shell that I've ordered from this location. The first one went ten years and 230K miles. They've always been easy to work with and Kevin the manager was great to deal with. Prompt delivery and installation. The new shell rocks and matches the truck great! This is a great contractor shell, I highly recommend it, you can configure it any way you want.

I had an awesome experience with Kevin and his staff at Leonard! I can’t wait to go back and get my trailer when the time comes.
