Hypnosis is achieved through deep and progressive relaxation and I am the guide that will move you through that relaxation. Hypnosis is actually a part of our daily lives. Have you ever gotten into the car and driven to your destination without really concentrating on the act of driving? Have you talked with someone and not paid attention to their words and were thinking of something else completely. Sure you have. These are examples of your conscious mind not listening.
My sessions are 50 minutes and the last ten to fifteen minutes will be spent with a client in Hypnosis. I endeavor to create a peak relaxation experience with a relaxed and refreshed outcome. Excellent Therapist!
It's so hard to find a good therapist. I immediately felt at ease with Jeff. His compassion, understanding and tremendous insight helped me to finally find some peace of mind and move forward.
We also worked on some things through hypnosis. I had never tried it before and found it to be unbelievably helpful.

Its been years since I went to Jeff, but I want to tell you that he saved my life. I had a big on set of depression and OCD and I was trying to hold down a full time job. I thought about suicide a lot. He worked with me for a number of months. I started on Prozac too and my illness became less over whelming. When My uncle was dying from Brain cancer, Jeff was a big help to my uncle. He was a God send in my life. I will always be so grateful for him.

I truly feel like I am able to begin the rest of my life due to my work with Jeff. I have struggled with lifelong anxiety and been treated with various medications, therapy, etc in the past. I have never reached the point I'm am at now and have Jeff to thank for that. I think the fear in going to see any mental health professional is that they won't really understand or "get" what the issues are or how to help. Jeff was very intuitive and knew exactly what treatment modalities I needed. I am so very grateful to have found him. I would recommend him highly to anyone.

I really benefited by Jeff's work with me. I had "talk therapy," in the past and that helped me work through some of my old issues, but needed someone to help me with my constant worrying right now in my life. I searched on line for hypnotherapists in Los Angeles and found that he was close to my apartment. I lucked out! His hypnotherapy was really helpful in teaching me to relax and cope with major stress at my work. Before I moved to the SF Bay area, I went to Jeff Tannen when I needed to deal with stress and panic attacks. He really turned me around because I was able to get the Psychotherapy perspective as well as the very much needed Hypnotherapy. ALL THERAPISTS should use a mixture of Psychotherapy and Hypnosis like Jeff does. Hypnotherapy is the way to go to get to the root of the problem quickly.
