Services
The history of Dobmeier Funeral Home dates back to 1907 when the original building was known as the Charles Oliver mansion. In 1958, Don and Margaret Dobmeier purchased the Collins Funeral Home, operating the funeral business from the main and lower levels while raising their family in the upstairs living area.
Staff members of Dobmeier Funeral Home are caring and experienced professionals who understand that each family is unique and has personal requests and traditions. These requests and traditions are of utmost importance to our staff of licensed funeral directors. Duane Morey comes home to manage and funeral direct at the Dobmeier Funeral Home.
Take Barnesville Exit #22, turn right (south), when coming into Barnesville you will be on Front Street. Stay on Front Street, we are just south of the Catholic Church (church with the tall steeple) on your left (east side of street). Take Barnesville Exit, turn left (west), stay on this road (Hwy 34) till you come to Barnesville (approx. 1 mile).
Most of us plan ahead in life. We plan for our wedding, our children's education, family vacations, and other significant expected life events. We also plan for the unexpected events of life by purchasing home, auto and medical insurance. Understanding the benefits of pre-planning has prompted many to take the step to plan their own arrangements.
Many who have undergone the emotional strain of arranging a funeral within hours of losing a loved one have made the choice to pre-plan their own funeral. Doing so lifts the burden from their loved ones by relieving decision-making pressure at a time of grief and emotional stress. Funeral arrangements are a deeply personal choice.

This funeral home has now handled 5 immediate family deaths for my family. What a great and caring place - they are with you from the beginning to the end with dignified professional service. My brother most recently died and they went out of their way to even drive to pick u the Minnesota Vikings Urn we wanted. Duane and his staff are just "the best".
