Year-round, CranHill provides a unique Christian camp and retreat experience filled with adventure, excitement, and fun. We offer four main focuses to our ministry: youth camps, family camps, group retreats and adventure experiences, with each one focusing on building relationships, strengthening families, and Transforming Lives Into the Image of Christ.
Our daughter returned home today, and she's been talking non-stop about what a great time she had. It's a great place for families or groups to get together to get back to being on the same page once again no matter what season.

Services
CranHill, located in Big Rapids, Michigan is a fun and fulfilling Christian Camp offering an unforgettable experience for kids young and old. We provide a variety of programs and activities, with top of the line facilities and qualified staff committed to the enjoyment and safety of all our campers.
CranHill Ministries is devoted to being a ministry through which God is transforming lives into the image of Christ through Youth Camps, Family Camping, Retreats and Adventure Experiences. The vision of CranHill is to faithfully minister with excellence, growing in scope and impact as the Lord leads.
Kids spend part of the day in smaller groups learning all about horse care, riding, and the bible. No riding experience is necessary! Our staff is happy to teach you everything you need to know. For 10-13 year old campers, horsemanship is a continuation of the lessons learned from previous weeks of camp, or riding experience.
At the heart of our mission to transform lives into the image of Christ is a community of faithful believers who have stepped up to be the hands and feet of Jesus at CranHill. Many people have answered the call to offer their time, talents, and/or finances to witness God's work in the lives of youth and families for over 50 years.
CranHill is blessed with partners that support the ministry in many ways. Many give with talents and time by volunteering in areas of their expertise and general labor, while others are able to give to the CranHill financially. CranHill is a non-profit, 501(c)3 organization whereby your gifts are fully tax deductible.

Our family has been camping here for the last 10 years. We absolutely love that there is so much for the kids to do and the family. If activities are not your thing the beach is always a favorite spot with nice clean beaches and swimming area that is roped off.
We can't leave out the ice cream- not sure why the ice cream taste better at Cranhill but you'll find yourself there everyday.
The staff is top notch weather its seasonal staff or year round staff. They truly are invested in what they do.
I would also recommend to stay a full week- weekends are busier but all activities are available

We look forward to camping at CranHill every August. The campsites are clean and have everything we need. Our neighbors are always so kind! The pond is warm and this year we kayaked and splashed around on our own inner tubes! I appreciate the clean and close bathrooms and showers! We stay in a tent but love comforts of home!
See you next year!

This year was just another wonderful experience. My family has been coming to CranHill for the last six years and it is a great place to decompress, unwind, and reconnect with family, friends, and of course nature.
The photo below is a simple shot of Hillview Lake and it is a morning ritual to have a cup of coffee and just look out across the lake.

My family has enjoyed cran hill for many years! It all started when I was young and my aunt took me! My aunt and I continued it with my daughters! They enjoy spending time at the ranch! Making friends participating in different acts like swimming, tiedying shirts, horse rides plus so much more!
My youngest daughter went many years for horsemanship week. Then was ran h hand couple years now that she has aged out of kids camp she has her first summer job there! I was able to bring my granddaughter who got to ride her first pony and go pet the animals in the petting area.
We hope to continue going

It’s our first time camping at CranHill Ranch and we regret not knowing about this wonderful place earlier! From facilities to activities, everything exceeded our expectations (yes the bathhouse is clean and well maintained). All the staff were very helpful & super friendly. We had the pleasure to meet with Scott and Chris, two wonderful gentlemen who extended our group warm hospitality and gave us useful information to plan for returning trips in the future. Also, a special shout out to Audrey, the archery coach, who first of all was professional when teaching our kids how to do archery; and

This is one of the cleanest campgrounds. The bathrooms were immaculate. We reserved a waterfront site. This was the first time I pulled into a site and I was perfectly level. They also had a lot of activities for our kids. We did a Daddy Daughter Day. Where else can you stay besides a KOA and have all the amenities for a reasonable price. Horseback trail rides $10 a person.. Great fishing lakes. Awesome staff.

CranHill has been a part of my life since I was 12. Not only is it gorgeous everywhere you look, but it's also a place of serenity and peace for me. Every time I go back feels like coming home. If you're bringing little ones camping, there are plenty of activities to keep 'em busy! The staff is always incredible, even as I camp there 16 years later! You won't find a better place to send your kids for summer camp, to venture to as a family, or to retreat to with your church or on your own. I will ALWAYS recommend CranHill Ranch <3

We took our kids camping at the family campground last summer and they had a blast! They are all teenagers and it is hard to find interesting things for them to do when they go campings (teens, ugh!). CranHill has so much to do!! They still talk about it a year later and want to go back. Fantastic place to camp. Great activities, campground and lake. Thank you CranHill! I didn't think I could get my older kids to enjoy camping again!

Overall: Request your site number before your stay to ensure the hookup is accommodating for your camper or make sure to ask when booking your reservation. Water/electric hookups tend to be on opposite sides or different locations on all sites. Campground is more suitable for larger groups rather than a leisure family weekend stay. Beach area is clean for a private lake, yet it is a small area. Hard to tell if the slides are free for campers or have to pay. Lack and miscommunication within the campground and its employees is a disappointment while confusing. Odd hours of camp store and campground

Being a once a year camper doesn't make me a good critic on camp grounds, but I really enjoy this place. We go up with our church each summer. This is a Christian camp ground with everything you need for fun. We had 13 families this past weekend, they can accomadate more but you need to reserve in Jan/Feb to get larger groups in.
They have so much to do, Good size lake for jet ski's, ski boats and fishing. A beach with lots of activities for kids and adults. Tennis courts, basketball, skate park, ropes course and climbing wall. You can ride pony's or horses or just visit
