Our wonderful old building was originally built in 1956. The next addition was in 1974 when indoor large animal facilities were added on. In 2007 when Mr. and Dr. DeVault purchased the building from Dr. Schmidtke, it was a flat top building. Since that date the building was crowned with a roof allowing additional conference room, office space, and an apartment.
Three additional exam rooms were added, along with a facelift on the building's indoor aesthetics. State of the art lab equipment, and surgical monitoring, was added to enhance the hospital's ability to treat all levels of patient's needs. In 2014, the indoor large animal facilities were updated with scales, new WW chute, and holding pens.

Dr. DeVault was born in Canton, IL and grew up in Centralia, MO. She spent her summers on her grandparent's farms in Montrose, MO area. Her grandpa's example inspired Dr. DeVault to help assure the next generation of farmers survived the changes that we now have in agriculture today. They saw my Goldie last minute over Labor Day weekend when they were understaffed. They understood she had anxiety and gave her a quick exam and only brought her back when they were ready for her. They didn't push a ~noncritical~ surgery on us and called to check up on her later the next week. We are grateful for their service, especially since we were visiting out of town.

Awesome Doc and staff! they took all the time I needed to answer my questions, helped me plan for vet care budgeting, settled my nervous pup right away, have the best help yourself treat stash right in the exam room, prompt appointment and they care. the whole staff just really cares-easy to see they truly love what they do. AND they are community service oriented-helping our local furry friends who can't always get the care they need on their own. AND...they thanked me for my business. after a Friday late afternoon appointment no less.
