Our goal is fast recovery and we strive to provide you with the newest treatments, research and product information. Our clinics offer open access, the state of Maryland allows you to obtain physical therapy without a doctors prescription. Check with your insurance carrier for coverage. Owner Karen Murphy is a licensed Physical Therapist.
The shoulder is the most mobile joint of the body and thus susceptible to injury. The shoulder joint is made up of three bones: the upper arm (humerus), shoulder blade (scapula0 and the collarbone (clavicle). The rotator cuff muscles act to stabilize the shoulder and is a common site for problems. Physical therapy can help to restore range of motion, strength, function and decrease pain.

I was in a recent car accident and my Attorney had referred me to Rock Therapy (RT). I have had a good number of physical therapy sessions now and cannot recommend enough the staff at RT. All the Therapists do a very thorough job. They don't take anything lightly. They will make sure you do all your exercises to get you better and they are very diligent about it. The support staff is very friendly and pleasant to work with. Overall a very well run business!

The therapists at Rock Physical Therapy are outstanding. They are extremely knowledgeable and patient focused. You have their undivided attention for the entire visit. They aren't talking to you and monitoring four other patients at the same time. Very professional and hands on rather than relying on machines to work the muscles. I was very impressed and couldn't recommend them more highly.
