The Beachcomber Motel & Apartments located at 158 W. Spring Street in Port Austin is under new ownership. Prior owners include Clarence and Flossie Ruth, who then passed the torch to Chuck and Amy Ruth. Throughout the Ruth family ownership they strived to deliver memorable experiences to their guests.

My boyfriend and I drove to Port Austin on a whim this past week after a camping trip got too cold. We drove by the Beachcomber and it looked cute so we stopped. Glenn, the owner, rented us one of the 2 bedroom apartment styles for a great deal. The apt itself was adorable. Clean, well maintained, and had a cool 70s retro vibe to it. The bathroom and kitchen was stocked with everything (pots, pans, dishes, utensils, coffee supplies, paper towel, soap, shower supplies, etc) we needed for the weekend. There were smart tvs in each bedroom and the living room! Glenn said he has owned it for about 5

My bridesmaids planned a surprise weekend in Port Austin 2 weeks before my wedding and we stayed at Beachcomber. Glen is AMAZING and helped us take the TV off the wall so we could plug in the wii to play. Lol He went above and beyond. Rooms were so clean and we had an amazing weekend. Best part was the sunset view.

My husband Sean and I decided to take a ride on our Anniversary. We pulled into The Beachcombers and was greeted by Glen most amazing. This was July 16, he had a 2 bedroom suite. We said we would take, he hands us the keys and it is Room 16. We loved it so much, we came back in August. So clean and friendly that I don't want to stay anywhere else. 👍👍👍👍👍

This week has been amazing!!! The renovations are great and the staff is wonderful!!!! I love Pat!! She's so sweet!! If you want to just listen to the sound of the waves sitting in the courtyard like I am now or go to the private beach and have a bonfire you have found the right place! And another thing I liked, it smelled like bleach when we got to the room and was spotless! Thank you Beachcombers for a awesome week for our family of 6 ☺☺☺
