Services
My family sessions consist of a pre-session consultation and planning meeting. We will discuss session goals, your decorating style and how I can best serve your family's portrait needs. Next we will have your session in a location of your choice. Sessions are typically 45 minutes to an hour, but can sometimes last longer if young ones need some extra time.
Here you can see a large sampling of the baby photos I take. Images are of babies from Newborn to 1 year of age. For your convenience, Chantel Hunt Photography works in the comfort of your home. The first year is so short, it is important to capture quality images your family will cherish for many generations!
For your convenience, I provide in home portrait sessions. This is very beneficial to families with more than one child. With a newborn session taking 2-4 hours, trying to keep your child(ren) entertained in a studio can be stressful! Let me take that stress away! Due to this convenience, I am in high demand and my calendar fills up quickly!
Time - Be prepared for me to be at your location for 3-5 hours. I need 30 minutes to set up and 30-45 minutes to pack up after your session. If we are doing sibling or family shots in addition to the newborn session, this increases the time. Baby only sessions are shorter than those with siblings or family.
Senior Portrait session includes a pre-session consultation via phone or email. During the consultation I will answer your questions, and discuss your son or daughter's personal style which will help me design a session unique to them. Photographic services include: 1-2 hour session in an outdoor location of your choice within a 25 mile radius of Yuba City.

Highly recommend! I've had two sessions with Chantel and I have a newborn session coming up. She takes the time to get to know her clients and put together the looks they are hoping for. If you are iffy about a shoot because you are feeling insecure..not comfortable in front of a camera or just don't know what to expect... just do it! She will make you look amazing and you will have fun. Very talented and professional!

I highly recommend this photographer if your looking for someone to take pictures. She did my maternity pictures and they turned out amazing and I absolutely loved them. She is super nice and friendly and she good with kids. She also did my newborn pictures to and she was so gentle with my baby and my photos turned out amazing I didn’t know what photos to choose since they were all so darn adorable.

Loved working with Chantel! Not only a talented photographer, she is such a kind person and was extremely patient with my rambunctious three year old son during our family session a couple months ago. Loved the shots she got of my newborn daughter as well! I definitely will stick with Chantel Hunt Photography for all our future family photo sessions!

Wow! What a wonderful experience! Chantel made my photo shoot so much fun I forgot all about the fact that I hate people taking my picture! Very easy going, yet professional and the pictures turned out better than I had ever imagined! She really knows what she's doing with angles and light and has such a creative perspective...a true artist. From the planning of my session to the choosing of my prints, she was pleasant and helpful. I can't wait to do it again!

Where do I even start? Chantel was phenomenal from beginning to end! She exhorted such positive energy that transferred over. We have 5 year old twins and a 3 month old! I was so worried we wouldn't get good shots or that they wouldn't cooperate, but she's such a pro that my kids thought they were just playing. And well, my baby was being a baby. She worked her magic and at the reveal, we got to see just how perfectly she was able to capture such beautiful, natural shots! You absolutely have to get her!

Chantel is the ideal photographer to work with. We've had limited experience with photographers outside of quick studio portraits, and Chantel has made it impossible to ever want to go back! I remember past sessions in the picture people and jcpenny studios, and highly regarded photographers my siblings have used for their weddings - but I'll be honest, none of those times was as comfortable and relaxed and fun as when Chantel Hunt shot portraits for our family.
I think that is the key to a successful photo shoot - for everybody in the pictures to have fun and be relaxed. Chantel did not rush
