For all dancers there is a time to perform and a time to be self absorbed, learning about the body through the pleasure and freedom of movement. Classes are closed to visitors. Parents are asked to wait outside the classroom to free the children to take risks with movement, to focus on their feelings and to perform for themselves, not for others.
Concentration, focus and understanding are easier for students when the class can proceed without interruption. We make every class focused by closing out the outside world to make dance the center of attention. Parents can view their child's class at scheduled viewing times. We want every child's introduction to dance to be a positive one and this means respecting each student's independent learning styles.

The energy in a classroom is created by the people in it. Having pride in our body, learning to control it and developing it to look our best are just a few of the benefits you get from dancing with energy. From the moment you enter the room, have energy and keep moving. Do not sit or lean against the barres or walls in class.
Ginny's Danceworks will close for bad weather DURING THE DAYTIME only when it forces Brighton Area Schools to close for the day. This only affects OUR daytime classes (daytime hours 9:30-3:00) Many times the roads improve throughout the day and are fine by mid-afternoon. Our evening classes beginning at 3:00 will be held unless the weather has not improved.
