In order to best serve our customers and make sure we are properly staffed and prepared, we have a new buying process broken down into three tiers.

Services
We listen carefully to mamas through all the stages of parenting and strive to meet their needs in a fun, friendly atmosphere. Come see for yourself-and by all means, bring some stuff to trade! (See "How to Sell" for more details.) Within minutes of meeting each other, the two women found themselves talking about their respective dreams to open a children's resale store.
Walk-in Selling - 2 standard grocery-size bags or less! When arriving, you'll sign in and we will look through your items while you remain in the store. Please keep in mind that there may be others ahead of you. Sorry, no walk-ins on Sunday/Monday at this time. On-the-Spot Selling - 2 large tote storage bins max!

I know that things are new and change is hard, but thought the new location would have better parking(not really). I know there’s new management and new location, and after things settle down and figured out it’ll get better. But the homey and loving feel of mama goose is lost currently. The lighting and low ceilings make it feel like a cave and hard to find things in the new location. Hope they don’t lose the great staff that was at mama goose and get back to those roots that’s why we went there over going to other stores.

I needed some summer clothes for my son, I try to buy local at consignment shops but with the pandemic everyone else is closed. the curbside pick up experience was fantastic!! I told them what I needed and they showed me what was available plus some extra things I might like as well. I can't wait for them to reopen so that we can visit again soon! Shout out to the Mama Goose employees for helping me pick out muck boots for both of my farm kids and some dresses for my 8 year old daughter. The woman (sorry I don't know her name) was kind enough to make videos showing and describing all the products to help me decide. I really appreciate the time she took and I'm glad I can still shop local during this time!

I'm a big fan of secondhand/consignment/resale shopping especially for children. Mama Goose is one of the best Childrens consignment stores I have been to. They do a great job with their buying- both quality and top brands are clearly a priority.
I have sold a fair amount of my daughters clothing here and opt for store credit rather than cash- then I use the credit to buy whatever she's in need of- most recently dancewear and a rain jacket.

Good morning all, I have been an avid buyer and seller of mama goose for a very long time. With the cost of things now A days I understand inflation, but the last few times I have been there, I haven’t been able to find what I need and the cost of used clothing items is outrageous! I can buy them new At Walmart or target for the same price as they… are charging for used! Just a bit disappointing and because of this I don’t frequently go there anymore. The customer service is always lovely and kind but the cost and not being able to find what I need makes me not a very happy customer

I no longer recommend mama goose. I’ve loved the store for many years. However my last visit wasn’t good. Items are now very overpriced. It’s like going to an outlet store where name brands are only a slight bit cheaper except here they are used too. They had literally no selection for girls sizes over 7/8. Only s couple things on the smallest… racks in the store. The shoe selection for literally all 5 of my kids was just terrible not one pair of sneakers in size 12,2 or 8. Winter boots with no liner for $10. It just doesn’t make sense I find better deals shopping

Great place to shop for kids clothes/toys/etc. Staff are friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. A good variety of used items for kids & babies, as well as some specially selected new items. They always have good quality stuff, they are very selective of what they offer. We're always bringing the clothes our kids have outgrown to sell here, it's great! There are books & toys for the kids to play with while you shop. Our kids always love to come to Mama Goose!

For Ithaca, this is your best bet on used children's items, but I visited my hometown and had the absolute best experiences ever. I filled a large box with clothes and paid 20.00 to ship it home and, even adding shipping in, I still saved a ton of money compared to what I would have spent at Mama Goose. Those shops were all independently owned and still were able to make a profit by selling things at a fraction of what Mama Goose charges. We're going back to those stores in December to stock up again...

Pretty over priced. When you ask for something off because something is stained or whatever, it is a giant ordeal as no one can seem to do anything about it. Bad location always a hassle to get in and out espically with kids. Took so long to check out I came out and had a parking ticket (4 minutes over meter!). I've had it, off to better consignment stores for us.

The Mecca for everything kid related in Ithaca. Very well managed, extremely fair prices and they are careful to only buy only good condition, cute clothes. No junk cluttering up the shelves. They give good value on trade credit too. More than once I have gone in to Mama Goose looking for a very specific item- a high chair that clips to a table, a certain kid's book, size 6 girls winter boots, a cheap working baby monitor- and that exact item was there at the right price. They carry new kids shoes too, cute comfortable shoes that are not stiff plastic. Thank you Mama Goose, all mamas should

Mama Goose really is as good as a children's consignment store gets. There's lots of room, places for kids to play, and tons of stuff to buy, used and new. They are very picky about the stuff they except, so you will only find high quality stuff on the racks. Everything is nicely organized, and there is something for everyone from pregnant mams all the way up to preteens.
